I've got a 260Z with a Turbo'd Chevy 350 bolted to a T-10 but would like to convert to a WC T5. The Chevy is a 4-bolt main with a split rear main seal ('69-'80 vintage casting number). Anyone know if this is an easy swap? Any known problems with bolt-up, clutch, etc.? Thanks! BOBZCARS

Hey guys, Well i bought my '71 240Z bout 2 or 3 months ago, The guy i bought it from was a 240Z car fanantic. He gave us a complete parts car, and some almost new headers (they were for dual exhaust. Also he gave us an engine that had preformance camshafts in it. It has a four barrell carburetor on it too. Say i get the engine workin again, around how much horse power increase would i have from the normal L24?? I would really apretiate it. Thanks, JD

A buddy of mine has a Ford 302" he is wanting to get rid of. Really nothing is wrong with it, probably needs a rebuild. I was looking over the Jags-that-run site and talked to a few guys who have done this. Any thoughts? I'd like to leave my 5-speed or get another to go with the 302" if I do it. Any ideas how much heavier a 302" is when compared to a pretty much stock L28? Is this a wiring nightmare with the EFI setup on the 302"? Keep in mind this is just a thought at the moment.

Now here is a question for all you turbo junkys...... From my understand the compression on a stock turbo with a P90 head and dished pistons is 7.8:1 correct ( sorry if im a little off thats from memory ) When you mix flat top pistons with a p79 head produces an estimated compression ratio of 8.8:1..... now here is the question... What if you were to take flat top pistons and a P79 and installed them on a turbo for the compression ratio of 8.8 : 1....this would increase your torque over what you used to have because of the raised CR ( right? ) but still be a low enough compression that with an intercooler could produced the high end power of a turbo motor? now i dont …

Hi, i have a good running 240 which create too much noise on the crank area and lossing oil pressure as the oil gets hot. so i decided to start building another motor. the one i bought is from a 280 with an "F54" ($150.00) stamped on the side and the head has "p90a"($98.00) stamped between ist and 2nd spark plug. do i need to buy a different set of intake and exhaust manifold for it? i already bolt in the fuel pump. Are the mounting brackets the same as the 240's? i am also replacing my 4 spd with a 5 spd(77 280z)($89.00), can you pls give me some tips on what i need to have to do this and so i can avoid some unnecessary expenses? thanks, hf240z@yahoo.com

Looking to add some "racy" seats to my 77. I like the colored looks available in Europe by Recaro, but they're not available in the US. Sparco has some that are close, but not exactly what I'm after (black sides w/ blue down the middle) Any other sources?

Hello Z Zoomers, I have a 72 Z with a High Performance 350 chevy small block. The conversion was done in the early 80s. I bought this car from a person in Fresno last Nov. He had the car for 16 yrs. The car was seldom driven and has been sitting in a garage drying out. Needless to say I bought into more of a problem than I anticipated. I'm in $8000 so far.... Now it is time to do something about the suspension, it wallows like a drunk. I have been told that the conversion adds 150lbs to the front end. Is this true? What kind of springs and shocks are fitting for this weight? How do I adjust the balance for equal weight distribution front and back? Any experience/advice …
