By now you've all heard about the massacre in Aurora, Colorado. 12 dead, 71 injured, many critical. The thing I always think after these sorts of things is "Didn't the guy have any hobbies?" I couldn't go on a rampage, that wouldn't let me get my Z fixed up! There will be parts arriving next week! Well, I've been gone for quite sometime. Life and kids happen and car fun was put on hold. I'm happy to come back here and report that I still own my 240Z, and getting back to finishing the project. I have made a jump to BMW's (work for Classic BMW in Dallas and own a Dinan E39 M5), but the 240Z will always be special.

Takes me forever (maybe 10 trial and error attempts) to get the dwell within a couple degrees of where I want it - about 35 to 40 - say 38 deg. Using a meter. To get it right I have to move the point set an invisable (to me) amount. I use a screwdriver against the pin in the oval hole. Is there a better way? maybe a homemade tool, or some old mechanic's trick?

Check this '73 Z out... While I was looking for a Z 2 months ago, I came across this one NOW on eBay. Back then, Sierra Classics & Imports in Reno was showrooming it for $11k... Was too rich for my blood...
