Hey, just reading the latest issue of Motor Sport magazine and noticed an ad on page 161 for a Datsun 240Z "super samurai":ermm:, whatever that is. Must be pretty nice because the seller is asking 24,000 pounds! Anyone know anything about this car?

I'm doing a full restoration to my 73 Z. I've been working on it for almost three years now and it is nearing completion. I've bought many parts from Black Dragon and their products have been very good up till now. The body shop who painted the car informed me that if I wanted an A job I would have to source a new hood, because the old hood was "oilcanning". OK, I figured if I'm going through all this expense, might as well go for a new hood. Ordered the first hood from Black Dragon. It came in a box that looked well protected and packaged. I was wrong. After I opened the box I noticed damage to both corners:ermm: Called them, they said take pictures and send them right a…

I bought a 76 Datsun 620 last summer that had been sitting for a few years untouched. I got the truck running but could not get it in gear to drive, so I went through the clutch/transmission of the 620 trying to figure out what was wrong. I replaced the clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, and installed a new clutch kit. After bleeding the system out it still would not go in gear. It's odd because when its running and I try to change gears the trans won't grind or make a sound. Its as if I'm hitting a wall and there's no gear there. Is there something I'm missing or is my problem deeper in the trans? Chase

I've been watching this show for a couple days, so I looked up the complete list. You'll notice that there aren't any Datsuns on the list but the 1989 Dodge Aries is?? **choke** It makes you wonder what criteria they used to determine which cars go on the list. There's a couple trucks on the list. Sorry, only half the list is available, because SPEED TV cancelled the show in 2008, after the first season. 1 - 1956-1958 Studebaker Golden Hawk 2 - 1970 Plymouth Superbird 3 - 1955-1957 Ford Thunderbird 4 - 1951 Aerocar 5 - 1964 Chrysler Turbine 1 - 1966-1968 Alfa Romeo Duetto Spider 2 - 1957-1977 Fiat 500 3 - 1948-1990 Citroen 2CV 4 - 1985 Renault R5 T…

This past weekend I was in company with 17 Datsuns 510 owners and some them also own early Z's,we were attending an event in WV. While talking about J Lo the subject turn to the future value of the 510 two door(69-73) and the 240Z.We all agree that current values are all over the board, Z's seem to dominate the Ebay/CL listing and that the 510 have less of presence on this outlets . That being the scenario indicates that there are less 510 than Z's in the market,so the debate is, will the 510 be of more value ?
