I've been looking at lots of cars lately ... I miss being mobile and it's never fair to take the Z out into the snow, I'm curious to know what some of our snow/salt-belt drivers use in the snowy season, seeing as I am now on the hunt myself. Oh, and if someone has a rust-bucket/beater 2nd or 3rd gen Z, now is the time to speak up! I've been hunting 2nd gen Escorts, 2nd gen Preludes, Rx7's ... Corolla Sr5's ... Accords, Civics... lots of fun stuff...

So I just picked up my issue 13 of Nissan Sport for a re-read and while flipping through the pages a picture caught my eye (pg. 48) because some of the cars were familiar. It was an event recap of the 2009 Watkins Glen Historic Grand Prix... I had hung out with some of these guys when I attended in 2007. Well low and behold the last line of the brief paragraph states that "In 2011, Datsun will be the marque of honor!" Next year is transfer season for me, so as long as the Coast Guard manages to keep me state side and inport I WILL be there! I know that there are quite a few members in NY and a bunch of active clubs in the area... so who's with me? I will be looking for…

So, I am in NYC for business over the next few weeks. First we had an earthquake last week, and now hurricane Irene is bearing down on the city. My thoughts go out to all the members who are affected by this storm and hope you (and your Z's) are all safe and sound. There is a Datsun meet in Williams AZ on Saturday Oct 8th. (1983 or older) This is not far from most So Cal, AZ, Nev and surrounding states. Just 40 miles or so west of Flagstaff on I-40. Should be a fun time. I am not a sponsor but I am going and would like to see more Z's there. Free of charge. Click on the Muti State Grand Datsun Classic on the left of the main menu. Also a Japanese reporter/writer for a classic car Magazine in Japan will be there as well. Hope to see some of you there. NOTE: I am coming up from the Phoenix area if any of you want to go in a group. Please let me know

Hello, I have an 86 300zx and am looking to replace all the leaky and old A/C hoses. I have been looking around and can find the compressor, expansion chamber, dryer etc. However, I am unable to find all the hoses that I need. I have tried dealerships and local auto parts stores with no luck. Any help is much appreciated. P.S. new to the forums, first post! Thanks Dueces

wife needs another car. i think i might have her talked into a 1990 300zx. it's auto ( only way she can drive) but it has 300K km. ( thats's about 200K miles) AC and heater work. i'm going to look at it tomorrow. asking price is $4200. my concern is the mileage. it's a titch high. should i be concerned or should i walk away?? if it's as reliable as my 240 i'm in!!
