The Wartsila-Sulzer RTA96-C turbocharged two-stroke diesel engine is the most powerful and most efficient prime-mover in the world today. The Aioi Works of Japan 's Diesel United, Ltd built the first engines and is where some of these pictures were taken. It is available in 6 through 14 cylinder versions, all are inline engines. These engines were designed primarily for very large container ships. Ship owners like a single engine/single propeller design and the new generation of larger container ships needed a bigger engine to propel them. The cylinder bore is just under 38" and the stroke is just over 98". Each cylinder displaces 111,143 cubic inches (1820 lite…

It's true, your truly is in Denver for four days then off to Vegas for a bit then onto San Juan Capistrano for a few more flying out Wednesday week. Have to say that the Tilted Kilt in Denver is an interesting bar to visit. If I had my camera, the boobs thread would have had another post by now. I have never been to a more confused bar, Scottish theme with River Dancers out the front is quite a mix. But the bar staff's costumes....well....sensational.....excellent and top hole! Not too sure if I agree with the relaxed pot smoking laws in this city mind you. What's with that? But lovin it so far guys, but haven't seen a Zed yet.:disappoin

Found these on my HD and thought they would be good to share. They seem like the best photos of plugs I have seen and sure beat the drawings in most tech books. From left to right Oil Fouled, Lean, Normal, Rich

I've noticed recently that there are more and more bad deals not going through on Ebay. I have 2 very recently , purchased quickly , fairly bid on and won , but both sellers have ''disappeared " into the mist. Mastercard will refund the money, but the process is such a pain . Is it a sign of the times ? Ebay asks you to wait for things to be shipped, but only gives you a 30 day window to file any complaints . Some mail takes that long just to get to and clear customs ! Then ebay's policy is to only refund a portion of your purchase if it's over a certain amount . What a scam ! Truly buyer beware , as the system is totally stacked against you ! Right now Mastercard will r…

"1971 Datsun 240Z – Alvin Yang was either better informed or more optimistic than us when he suggested an early 1970’s 240Z for under $10K—we only found serious “projects in terms of original cars at that price point. This 1971 240 of mixed origin isn’t a bad thought though. The car has undergone an engine swap (there’s an L28-something, from either a 280Z or 280ZX most likely, under the hood), but appears to be nicely finished off. Not a concours winner then, but probably a really nice driver considering the current $8500 price tag." http://www.windingroad.com/articles/lists/facebook-list-top-10-cars-wed-drop-10k-on/?src=Nextscreen#2

In Nova Scotia Canada, the spreaders just sort of drop it in the lane of the salt truck. There is a small turning spreader ~ 1.5' off the ground just behind the cab. In New Jersey the spreaders are near wind shield level and they throw the stuff out across two lanes from the rear driver corner of the truck.... they sand blast your windows if you get too close.. even a lane away to the side. What is it like in your area.

this is kinda the wrong forum but ive found you guys to be much more responsive and nicer to talk to then the mopar guys on the challenger forum so ill ask you guys in stead. i pulled the sending unit out of the tank in my challenger to dump the red varnishy gas out and i found a nice little suprise! the gas has crystalized or something. it looks like rust but i scraped where i could reach with a screw driver and it looks like clean metal under the crystaly stuff so i think its just the gas doing something weird... anyone have any suggestions on a way to clean the tank out? i was thinking i could maybe stick a pressure washer in there or something but im not really sure…
