This thread might not be a good idea but I came across this video that I need to share. There seems to be quite a bit more foreign content on the old youtube site recently. Maybe I haven't been paying attention though. Jaws from the Bond film wins a motorcycle race.

Today marks the 50th anniversary of closing the deal on my 240Z. It did not start out as a "forever car" but thoughts of a '66 Mustang Fastback I let go of to quickly always tickled the back of my brain, telling me to never make a quick decision on this one. Glad those tickles kept me honest! 1999 - Getting the car out of the garage after 16 years of storage and a bath before starting the teardown for the restore. 92k miles at the time and other than the first two years when I was in an apartment, always garaged. Recent pics celebrating the car's 50th birthday. ZCON 2015 - Our first trip to the big dance worked out pretty…

Hey, I’m going through my parts collection today and thought I find stuff I want to sell and move out of here. I picked this rear 240z light metal valance with license plate light at one of my junk yard scores. I had at one point considering putting this on my car but after thinking it though I want to keep the stuff original on my car and preserve it for was it was in 77 minus a few items. (Wheels, bumpers, tranny, diff) So I was going to sell this on eBay but have no idea what it’s worth. It has no dents or…

We're having an unusually early spring down here. Groundhogs be damned. I have a box of the baby blue mask from work and holy cow at the very obvious crud I'm getting with these cheap things while doing yard work. It's amazing to see. They will be absolutely necessary until the day I kick the bucket, full of papers proclaiming things I want to accomplish before said time of the bucket to be kicked.

Porsche has set a new lap record at the Nurburgring Nordschleife in the 919 Hybrid Evo. The car hit a maximum speed of 339km/hr (almost 230 miles an hour!). I think the driver left a bit on the table though, he tiptoes around the Karussell, and some of the other turns he doesn't seem to be going 10/10ths. Still, a nice lap..

Shaquille O'neal. He's on my television all the time. Commercials. Always a nuisance but now with Safer at Home they've doubled. Streaming also affects this last money grab in my opinion. The Royal Family. No comment! is all I want to hear from those poor family members. Craig Robinson, Snoop Dog, Matthew McConaughey, Tim Allen, those damn Kardashians-Jenners, Dr Pimple Popper just showing up on my menu screen, and so many more but I hate to bore my friends. Safer at home hasn't worked like I anticipated, spending time with your loved ones, fixing your cars and house. Thank goodness for alcohol. Maybe Shaq could do that commercial?

I've been a member of HybridZ for many years, and only recently joined this form after finding some hits on a google search for a specific problem. I have found both places to be useful and friendly to me. And of course, several good people are members of both. I've been on other (non-Z) forums where some people like to play 'king-of-the-hill' and chide you for various nitpicky items. HybridZ has a fabrication and welding section, which was helpful while I was in that phase of my restoration, but I think the same expertise exists here. Now I'm in the paint and reassembly mode.

That doesn't go together very well. If they made a hollow crank shaft it would spin up a lot better but that rotating mass thing always comes to mind for me.

This popped into the inbox, a nice commentary on JIS vs. Phillips head screws. It got me to thinking about JIS screwdrivers and bits and I ran across another article that makes it clear that all the so-called JIS drivers on the market today are not truly JIS but most are the later DIN/ISO standard that is a compromise between JIS and conventional Phillips head screws. The bottom line: if the tool does not explicitly state it is JIS B 4633 specification, it is probably a DIN 5260/ISO 8764-1 spec. Close but no cigar! https://www.hagerty.com/media/maintenance-and-tech/that-phillips-head-screw-isnt-what-you-think-it-is/?utm_source=SFMC&utm_medium=email&utm_conten…
