I haven't seen this posted anywhere else, and though it was depressing. I downloaded the final U.S. Cash for Clunkers trade-in list and sorted it by make and model. (In its download form it is sorted by the new vehicle purchased for some reason...) Our beloved government PAID to have 363 completely operational Nissan 300ZXs destroyed. (And 318 Toyota Supra's were "recycled" as well.) Hope no one here wanted one of those for their collection. (I will not discuss the BMW 850i total... )

Hello everyone, I'm not sure what the dumbest thing I've ever done is at the moment (there are too many choices Tongue), but I'll probably think of something soon....

I just wanted some input from other z car fanatics. Ever since I saw a z car with an ls1 I was in love. I am looking at a 1973 240z in running condition, brakes need work(pads most likely) that comes with a uncracked dash, recaro racing seats, extra original engine and trans, and has minimal rust, floors are clean, spare tire area is clean, basically rust free except for doors, and i have a passenger door rust free already. Is pretty much rust free, as far as i can tell from pictures, havent seen the car in person. Its like a 450 mile drive, and will have to be towed back. If you have a response like almost immediately after this post, please call me as time is an is…

1) Thinking something sporty. 2) I'm 6'2"/6'3"...all torso (gorilla boy needs ample headroom). 3) Will be driven in the winter (traction control a virtual must). 4) Drive about 60 miles round trip to work everyday. 5) Could be new or gently used. On the current shortlist are: - Nissan 350Z (is there a mod to increase headroom? It's really tight...) - Infiniti G35 coupe (found a mod to increase headroom) - Mazda RX-8 - Bimmer 3 Series Coupe - Mini Cooper S (don't laugh, a bit of a flier, but took one for a test drive and 175 horse and 2500 lbs feels more like a Z than you might think...) - 15 year old JDM Skyline...(a real flier...) Any thoughts or comments on experience w…

I answered a Craig's List add for some Z parts and picked-up a set of aluminum rear window louvers for only 20 bucks. They came with all hardware and don't even need to be re-finished! These are the older curved slat type that rest outside the rear window seal and require screw mounting onto the hatch. (Not like the smaller ones sold by MSA that mount under the hatch rubber and rest on the glass). I know some don't like the look, but I like keeping sun off the interior. Been looking for one of these for about 4 months and missed-out twice, but managed to snag this one before someone else beat me to it. My insurer offers a discount with a third brake light, so I'm th…

I have been trying to contact the ZCCA via their website. I want to find out where my scoresheet from the Zcon09 car show is. I was told they would be mailed in about 2 weeks. Well, when I tried to email them, I get asked a 'random question', which is 'What was the first Z sold in the US?' I answered 240; HLS30-00013, series 1 240-Z, 1970 240-Z. All of these are wrong. The message will not go through if the question is answered wrong. Anybody have a clue as to how to contact them? Anyone happen to know the correct; as per ZCCA; answer?
