Hey Guy's... I've been contemplating the purchase of a used G35 coupe, with an auto tranny... I've been doing some research on the car and it appears that the motor in these vehicles have a horrendous oil consumption problem.. somewhere on the order of about 1 quart/1000 miles. I'm not sure but isn't this the same engine that is used in the 350z, and the Altima 2.5? I've also read on the G35 forums that if you can get the dealership service to do a oil consumption study, and they find that the engine uses more than 1 quart/1000 miles Infinity/Nissan will replace the engine. I personally think that paying 20~25K for a used car with the potential is ridiculous... My quest…

Hey guys, I am trying to put together a list to take the dealer for some various parts. I am using my Zcar microfische and have a question on how to decipher the correct part#. Almost every part has 2 part #, so which one do i use. I will find 2 part numbers that correspond to one picture, they have a 01 or 02 part #, what does that mean? Any help would be appreciated.

Today was an interesting day! Several days ago, I contacted a gentleman who was advertising a crack free 240Z dash, and made arrangements to pick it up. He was about two and a half hours from me, so I considered taking the truck and setting up appropriate packing materials to secure and protect the dash while in transport in the bed or back seat of the truck. Several years ago I moved an early Dash on the back seat of the truck, and had packed it up with blankets and secured it with cardboard and the seat belts. That dash survived a 11 hour trip from Mussel Shoals through the course of a covert night trip with no gps and lots of misdirection! This dash was to be moved in…

Hi Guys, Bought another 280Z. She's my Double D (daily driver). Excellent deal. She's a 78 with only 95K on the odom. Runs great and everything works. Pictures to follow. The car is very clean with the usual rust in weird places. I'll upload the photos this weekend. Spoke with my bud 26th Saturday and he convinced me to get back into the Z groove. Vicky

I know I have seen an index of most of the 240Z print ads/aarticles from magazines. I believe it was on a website, but I haven't been able to locate it. I am looking for several specific ads, and not wanting to take the shotgun approach to buying vintage magazines until absolutely necessary, I am hoping for some help. I have both versions of the Hi-Tech dvds, ""Z" Anthology". and "Z/ZX Ads rom the Beginning", and neither nor both contains all of the ads- I have both the Brooklands Datsun 240z & 260z, and Datsun 240Z &260Z Gold Pportfolio, the Car and Driver On Datsun Z, 1600 & 2000, the Haynes Super Profile, and the Marque Classizc Series Datsun/Nissan Z Cars…

I have a few parts which my wife says must go prior our annual trek to Tennessee. The parts consist of 2 engines 71 & 72 both were running when removed. The 71 has around 56K miles. I also have a right door, hood and rear hatch, with glass, (horizontal defrost), from the 71. Pick them up and they’re yours.
