Australian Motor Magazine July 2009 has a couple of interesting articles including a suggested Top 10 Japanese Supercars listed as : 1. Nissan R35 GT-R 2. Honda NSX-R 3. Datsun 240Z 4. Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI Makinen 5. Mazda RX-7 (1990's model twin turbo) 6.Toyota Supra RZ twin turbo V6 7. Nissan R32 Skyline GT-R 8. Subaru Impreza 22B 9. Nissan R390 10. Toyota 2000GT I do not want to get anybody's blood up here but the Toyota 2000GT is described as "originally penned for Nissan by a German (Albrecht Goertz) but after it was canned in '65, Toyota picked up the pieces". Whatever we might think about such a list, and much might be said, four out of the top 10 come from the…

The metal engine bay plate on my 70 240 was damaged due to what looks like the inspection lamp dragging back and forth across it for years making it difficult to read due to the heavy scratches. I took it off the car and cleaned it up and noticed the VIN was more readable on the back due to the impact apparently from the labeler that Datsun used. FWIW Mikes z car

Well i decided that im going to shave my head on June 13 for St. Baldricks fund raising event to raise money for children cancer. This morning I was thinking about badging, why, don't ask it was just a fleeting moment.....more particularly about the way 240's where badged around the world. We all know that the 240 was known as a Fairlady in Japan, but was it actually badged in English as Fairlady or was it in Japanese characters? If so the what is the calligraphy for this or if it wasn't can someone [Kats or Alan maybe] post 240Z in Japanese.

OK, I know this is nit picking on an otherwise stellar site. But why oh why are pictures posted on the front page "latest gallery upload " section before they are approved for viewing? Yeah, my life must be pretty easy if that's all I have to complain about.

It must be summer and rice season out on the streets. I've seen 4 last weekend already, an they definitely weren't obeying the speed limit. I-90 is the highway number, not the speed limit! I've attached a few ricer tickets for you to print up and hand out to those that deserve infractions. thxZ

I came across another internet site for Nissan parts recently and thought I would pass the information along. I just got my first order from them yesterday. The site is nissanpartsnow.com and apparently it is part of Conyers Nissan in Conyers, GA. They are cheaper than nissanparts.cc, Courtesy Nissan and my local dealer with Z club discount (which also requires me to drive 1.5 hours round trip to pick up the parts). Their site says "Lowest Prices On The Internet!". At least they are the lowest prices I have found so far. -Mike
