Hi The Auszcar club gathered at alpine resort village of Thredbo in the mountains of New South Wales over the weekend of 20-23 February. A healthy gathering of around 18 Z's from Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra converging on the village in fine sunny weather and awesome mountain roads. It was great to see so many Z's from other parts of Australia not seen together before and meet their owners. A great weekend was made even more special when Nissan Australia joined us with a pre-production 370Z (Chassis no.9) and a 350Z Roadster as camera car for a photo shoot and interviews with the members. The 370Z is launched in Australia on Friday 27th Feb at the Melbourne Motor Sh…

Hi Gang: As many of you know, I needed a 5th American Racing LeMans mag. wheel to mount the spare tire on, for the BRE Baja Z. A fact mentioned in the Classic Motorsports Magazine article last Sept.. Seems I've been looking forever !! Thanks to Les at Classic Datsun Motorsports - I now have it. Just wanted to let everyone know, as many of you have contacted me with possible leads.... so the search is over. Thanks to everyone for your on-going support.. Carl B.

Has anybody else seen the post on Zcar.com about the shop in Mission Viejo, Ca. that needs a s--tpot full of 3N71B auto trannies? They replied back to my email and said they would pick it up in Fla. and pay $100 for it, working or not. Anybody have any laying around they don't need?

I thought it would be interesting to hear about great Z car finds. It could be a nice car for cheap or just that special part you been looking for. Lets all try and list a great story or if you have a super bad one go ahead and tell everyone. I will start first. It was about 1994 and I was living in Walnut Creek CA, looking for a vehical. I was mostly going to tow truck places and finding cars that were being sold for back storage fees. I had gone to look at a truck that needed a clutch and missed buying it by about an hour. The great thing was there were 2 280Z's sitting in the lot both for sale. One had a hole in the engine block but was a solid car. The other had bee…

I was trolling ebay tonight and found this: http://cgi.ebay.com/Datsun-Nissan-Lt-Edition-Z-Car-Print-w-Mr-K-sig-1995_W0QQitemZ150018231871QQihZ005QQcategoryZ418QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I wonder if the seller will sell any-I have #194 of 300 that were hand signed-if I remember correctly, still rolled up in its shipping container from the printing company with the Certificates of Authenticity and Registration. My garage isn't suitable for hanging this, or the large Dealer Issue version of the Dream Garage poster and the Ad enlargements I have-but then the car isn't ready yet either. I also noticed ZCCA.org expired on 7/29/06! Somebody must have goofed! WIll

I like driving the 'Z' around, BUT when I remember that I have an errand to do, I usually find the parking spot furthest from the crowd, drag out the club and lock it on to the steering wheel, lock the doors, and set the alarm. Than while I'm shopping I'm worrying if someone is parking next to it and giving it a nice parking lot door bruise, or if someone is casing it out trying to figure out how to jack the car..... And if I'm ****'s (a locale burger joint).. I can't relax at all Sometimes I think it would be easier on the nerves to own a Porsche..... :surprised
