On a different thread, another CZC member mentioned he plays Guitar Hero. I have to admit, I am quite addicted to playing Rock Band 2 on my family's Wii (Rock Band 1 was a gift for my 40th b-day, RB2 was my Christmas gift) - in fact, I'm pretty good at it (can do expert on drums and bass most songs). Anyone else here play it? Don't be bashful...

Excuse me for just wanting to vent, but it kind of makes me mad when people are rude or inconsiderate in their e-mail interactions-primarily with the classifieds. It seems that folks don't worry about any obligation to finish a transaction, or more likely a conversation ,when it comes to selling or buying. Their are some that post for sale ,or are buying, that don't respond when you contact them , or they respond once to barter, then never heard from again. You wonder if these people would be like this in person. Would they go in a store and ask about a product, then as you are descibing it ,they would just turn around and walk away? That's what happens all the time in th…

I just came across a TV show called "Chasing Classic Cars" on a Discovery HD Channel. Here is a link to a website with some information about it http://turbo.discovery.com/chasing-classic-cars/chasing-classic-cars.html. Kind of an interesting show. It is a series about a classic car dealer in Connecticut (F40 Motorsports http://www.f40.com/index.php). Anyway, I watched my first two episodes tonight and saw an early Z car in both! The first was in an episode about a very early porsche 911 (VIN #724) in So Cal. They show a clip of the guy driving to the "cars and coffee" meeting in an old Ferrari and a 240Z pulls up fast on his right, so of course he steps on it to …

I just had to share this. Today, I went to my local Oriliey Auto Parts Store. Its close and has most of the little things I need and I can go online and order and have stuff shipped without paying shipping costs. I went to pick up the upper radiator hose I ordered in today with a couple of little things. The guy at the counter asked if he could help me, and I told him I needed the upper rad hose for a 1972 Datsun 240Z. He furiously typed away on the keyboard, scrolled around with the mouse and looked confused. I asked him to look under the Nissan lable to find it. He proudly told me that he knew his imports and that Nissan didnt make anything like that and that he c…

From the Roadster Mail List, I don't know any particulars. >From the EarlyDatsunClub. I do not know the cars or the seller. -------------- Forwarded Message: -------------- From: "Jim Allyn" <jallyn@mchsi.com> Date: Wed, 21 Jan 2009 17:36:20 +0000 Subject: [EarlyDatsunClub] Free Datsuns in AZ Hi All, Negotiations with the bank on my rental property have fallen apart, and I'll need to get anything I want off the property in the next day or so. The house sells at auction Friday at 2. The reason I'm letting you all know is that there are 4 datsuns and an old boat on the property, and if anyone would want to haul them off, they could get a pretty good score for a Dat…

I still haven't found my next Z resto project but while snooping around on craigslist, I found this old "vintage" hand wringer. I'd been looking for one of these for years and couldn't pass this one up despite it's rusted/nasty condition. (plus the $8 price was too good to pass! ) My dad had one for years while I was growing up and I remembered how great it was to wring out the chamois and towels after washing the family cars/boats. So. after a run thru the bead blast cabinet and a little paint, here's the before and after pics.

Looks like they're making some decent progress with the electric vehicles, the performance numbers on this one is impressive. The price is too steep for me but I expect the technology to trickle down to the everyday car. I'd love to see us less dependant on foreign oil. For electric sports cars, I hope they develop some sort of man made exhaust noise system. One that makes a nice snarl when getting on it rather than the quiet response. http://autos.msn.com/as/minishow/article.aspx?contentID=4024172&s=Pebble2006 Bruce

I bought some parts for my 240Z on 11/26/08 I paid with my card for the order but when the box arrived instead of the 5 parts I paid for there were only 3. I immediately contacted AUTOPARTSWAREHOUSE.COM and told them of the shortage. I have since sent them a series of emails . Early on they did respond but nothing this far has been done. Three weeks ago I asked to be refunded the difference or send me the missing parts. I did check with the web site and they do have the parts in stock. According to the information on there site. Being we are now in Jan. '09 I decided to worn everyone. If I do receive either the parts or the cash I will post this information. Gary

Just wondering if anyone is familiar with "Z Sport"? It's an autoshop located in Everett, WA just off exit 193. I drive by it every time I visit my parents, once going and once coming. I've checked out their website and they look fairly Z centric, but has anyone dealt with them?

Hi Everyone! I have been collecting S30 and S130 FSMs and associated documentation for almost a year to scan into PDF format to help Mike make a new club DVD. Mike has a copywrite release from Nissan to allow this DVD to be made using virtually any Datsun/Nissan document. I have collected several FSMs, owners manuals, Supplemental manuals, parts manuals, and such, but we need more for the DVD to include all models. If you have a manual you can donate to the cause, or the time and inclination to scan a manual you have, please let me know. Those who donate will recieve a free copy of the DVD for their involvement. The manuals I collect are not pristine, generally I have f…
