Well Thursday night, upstate NY (Orange County) was hit hard with an ice storm that took out 9000 folks power! So my department with the company gets called out to spot. Which is basically, going from zone to zone looking what kind of crews will be needed to repair down trees, poles and lines. While driving down this road at 12am I spot a Z sitting under two covers. I knock on the door of course because I can see flash lights moving inside the house. A woman comes to the door and tells me it is her dads car and only has 19k on it. Well, I went back the next day and took a few pics. So what is it? 1970 2/70 built 240. Dash --> not cracked....int --> almost perfect! T…

The post below is what got me thinking the other day! I will have three Z's come next week and was faced with a lil problem...too many Z's.....too many projects!! This quote came from another thread I had on HBZ. So this is what Dave thought I should do........ ....well this is what I came up with. The new '70 car will be my street Z sleeper w/ L30ET. The Evil Z will get a make over. I am going to transfer Evil Z's drive train and suspension to the red car '71, which will become the NEW Evil Z. Will not be a rush job and will be exactly the way I want it. So the original car I had the '73 is not in bad shape honestly. It would take very little to get it back to what …

Driveline Vibration Issue - Possible Root Cause This guy ran over a mattress and decided to keep going. The ensuing jumble finally whipped around enough to put a tear in the gas tank; the subsequent lack of fuel is what finally brought this vehicle to its knees. It had still managed to drive 30 more miles decently with a 60lb tangle wrapped around the driveshaft. This genius complained that the vehicle had a "shimmy" when driving it high speeds. This is what the dealership found..............

I have made an offer on a boat located in Capistrano Beach, CA. It is an 2007 Supra 22SSV Ski boat. I was planning to have the local Supra dealer check the boat out for me but they are out of business. Does anyone know of a good knowledgeable, reasonable boat mechanic in the area? Thanks Jerry

I am in the process of designing a garage with about a 25' x 25' pad. The way it is currently configured, the garage door will be on one of the gabled ends. One of the items on my wish list is a lift, probably a 2-post symetrical, and the current ceiling height is drawn at 12', with the possible addition of scissor trusses to allow a bit more overhead clearance. Question: For those of you who have built garages on the smaller side, how did you configure your garage door and lift placement to resolve the issue of avoiding interference between your garage door and a vehicle raised on the lift? Specifics on garage door manufacturer, type and placement of opener and tra…

Anybody have pics of a 280z with a 240z front bumper on it with the bumper guards. I was wondering how much of the 280z turn signals they cover and how it looks.

Hello, After reading about the passing of Paul Newman, I started thinking about the couple of times I had the opportunity to see him race at Sears Point Raceway, now Infineon Raceway in N. California. I remembered that I had taken some pictures but after almost 30 years, 2 kids, second marriage and 6 moves, who knows where they were. So after searching through box after box of pictures, I found a few and some of the negatives. Those without negatives were scanned and here are the pictures of some great memories. Sears Point Intl. Raceway, during the 70’s and into the early 80’s was a quiet place with nothing around for miles. Bob Bondurant had his driving school…
