Hello Everyone: While it seems that the Z Car Community has broken itself into generation specific sub-cultures; only to come together once or twice a year at the major Z Car events; there is a movement afoot to bring "Car Enthusiasts" together in local areas at least once a month. This is an interesting concept and one I believe we should all support and encourage. It's originator calls it "Cars and Coffee". It's held the third Saturday of each month hosted by the "duPont Registry" in their corporate offices parking lot. It starts at 7:00AM and is over by 9:00AM, leaving the rest of the weekend free. The idea is simply to get Car Nuts in the local area together for …

Hey guys and gals - just wondering how many current or ex seagoing personnel are in this club. I made a comment in a 1 Bravo 6 funnybone thread: The difference between sailors and Z car owners is "Sailors talk about home when on the ship and the ship when they are at home, but Z car owners simply always talk about their cars". It is an obvious contradiction because as seagoing Z car owners we don't fit either bill entirely and both to some degree. Anyway, didn't want to highjack that thread, but found it interesting to find out I was not one of a kind and now I am curious. Who else is/was a sailor? Me - I was with the Canadian Navy back in the 70's, sailed on destroye…

I found this grille badge a few years back. It was on the grille of a 411 sedan. It reads: JAPAN GRAND PRIX FISCO MAY 1966. I has a chequered flag with '3rd' and a diagram of a road course in the centre. I was just curious as to whether it had any historical signifigance.

If the Hydrogen fuel cell is implemented, it means you get no more gasoline, so you get to trash your gasoline powered Zed car! Would you put in an electric motor, assuming it would make your 2500 lb. Zed go any speed at all? You probably wouldn't be able to get it in the highway. thx.

Those of you here who have dimes instead of (or in addition to) Zs might be interested in these. They appear to be local to me, although I don't know the seller. Might be able to find time to look at them in person for interested parties, though. 13x7 Libres

Ok, this is the general discussion forum so, here it goes. how many people actually thing using Ethanol is helping? from what I can gather, ethanol reduces mileage, is highly corrosive, and costs more than gasoline. so, why are we being forced to use it? I live in the Huntsville Alabama area and have yet to find a gas station not using Ethanol. I thought that I had found one, and then realized that the A$$ HOLES had covered up the stickers with a piece of cardboard. But back to the subject, why are we putting up with this. I'm guessing that my old z won't run on ethanol gas, but I haven't tried it. I drive a 2001 honda accord and I can tell a difference in mileage. My dad…

Over the last several months I have noticed the price of some parts increasing substantially. I shop a lot on eBay and have seen several things skyrocket. Is this just a 'blip' or have others noticed it too? Examples of things that I've bought for '70 ~'72 Z-Cars over the last several years & what they go for very recently include: Radios: old price - $65.00 for an excellent example; new price range $150.00 - $350.00. Belly Pans: old price - $50.00; new price range $150.00 - $250.00. Radiator Shrouds: old price $25.00; new price range $150.00. I've also noticed the prices of the vehicles of the "daily driver" variety going what seems to be well beyond where t…
