Well, I was laid off today, and have to put everything on hold until I find a new, decent job. This is both good and bad, for I was planning on finding a new job to begin with, however, I was wanting to find one, then put in my notice. Well, I'll keep everyone updated with everything. Justin

Ok nostalgic minded people , when my Z was built in feb 1971 , I was 8 yrs old and the song of the day on the billboard top 100 was , The Osmonds ,One bad apple . Although I was just a kid I remember the song and i can still hear it playing on my mom's little am radio that she used to keep in the kitchen . So here is the challenge , when your Z was built do you know what was the song of the day ? let's compile a list , make a master disc and play old school to our hearts content ! BTW , I never liked the Osmonds , although Three dog night had a great hit the same year , Joy to the world , We still sing it out loud when camping late at nite .Rock on , and lets reminisce wi…

Thats right! For the first time I seen the General Lee 1969 Dodge Charger crossing the intersection I was waiting at on mainstreet. It was 2 cars back in the middle lane crossing from left to right in the middle of the rain. I looked just in time to see it pull up to a stop then take off cross the street handling just like the car on the TV show! Kind of did the little side to side thing as it was braking There was nothing "replica" looking about it. It had the correct Vector Racing wheels, Decals, Paint Job and all that! I think it did have Washington plates though as I was trying to see if it was local. The color was even correct and not all that Bright …

I saw a 260Z on Craigslist that wasn't too far from me. The seller said he couldn't get it to start, but I asked if I could look at it and perhaps get it running. I looked at it on Friday and started my diagnosis. I finally found that the distributor cap was damaged. I told the seller I would go buy one and try to get the car fired up. The weather was bad on Saturday, so while I got the money from the bank for the car, I didn't try to do anything on that day. I called the seller and arranged a time to see the car today. So, I went to see the car. I replaced the distributor cap, but it still wouldn't start. I checked the fuel flow. I had a battery charger to help the car…

I just picked up this treasure at the L.A. Kinokuniya Bookstore for $14 Bucks and well worth my collection! It's also at their Portland and San Jose Stores, as well as Amazon.co.jp. there's an HS30-H that looks Like Alan's car as well as perfect examples of Fairlaidies from the SPL212 to Z33. A friend sent this to me and I find it totally absurd and astounding if true. For the life of me, I can't understand corporate thinking these days! http://www.adrants.com/2008/01/ford-slaps-brand-enthusiasts-returns.php "Ford Slaps Brand Enthusiasts, Returns Love With Legal Punch While brands certainly don't want people using their products, logos and other related imagery to create products of their, own, the hammer that Ford legal dropped on the Black Mustang Club seems a bit heavy handed. Recently the club created a calendar which contained images of club members' cars photographed by the members themselves. Ford didn't take kindly to this and asked CafePress, the serv…

Unfortunately I had to move to a place that doesn't have a nice spot (garage / carport) for my Z. I usually keep a cover on it, as I only drive it about once a week or so. I just had it painted over a year so I want to preserve the car as much as possible. When it rains I usually take the cover off. Now, we don't get so much rain out here in Southern California, but I cringe everytime I read a weather report predicting rain. My car cover is nothing fancy. Of course it claims to be made out of "breathable" material and all that. So, my question is this. As long as I am in this situation, what do you guys think is better for my car? Cover or no cover for when it pours?…

Just browsing epay and came across this one. Located in Wisconsin. Check out the mirrors, the dash, steering wheel, and the wheels...well maybe not the wheels. Tail lights look good from the photo. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1973-Datsun-240-Z-4-Speed_W0QQitemZ120211488014QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item120211488014 As of now, the price looks good-that is if the dash is indeed without cracks, and the mirrors are the Datsun competition (Black Pearl) ones.
