So I posted a set of front seats in the classified section a few weeks ago. 68 views but no contact. Is $250.00 over priced for a set of real nice front seats? If not, I am assuming that I just need someone local here in San Diego to see the ad. Thanks for any advice. Steve

The latest Vintage Auto is just out with a write-up on the JCCS. There's some familiar cars and faces. Funny, the best coverage of the SoCal Nippon KyuSha scene is a Japanese mag.

Just gotta share this: I'm now a grandpa! My youngest son (23) became a father today of a beautiful baby boy. Mom and baby are fine and he is a charmer. Can't wait to have him help me with the Z.

I have a prospective EBay customer who wants me to ship a few small items to Mexico City. Is their mail system reliable? If I ship USPS, I know I won't be able to get a tracking number (like any international package), but I don't know how trustworthy their mail system is. My wife is a filipina and I know better than to try to send any package of value to her family in the Philippines via regular mail. Anyone have any experience with this? Thank you....

http://denver.craigslist.org/car/497880299.html If you're partial to 2+2s, this one might be worth checking out. I have no connection with the seller.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-Z-Series-1973-240Z-Custom-V8-show-winner-completely-restored_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6187QQihZ014QQitemZ330196706402QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW Pretty spiffy, near stealth conversion, even if you're not into the hybrid scene. I like how the exhause is tucked into the widened rear valence. Even the seats look natural in the cockpit. Except for the dashcap and slightly-too-large wheels (they look like 18s, but 16s give better proportion, IMO), it's a well-done project. Hope this guy gets to recoup a fair amount of his investment... Oooo...my wallet just started to tingle--good thing it's empty!

I'm shopping around for some Z's '71-'78. Anyone have and ideas or cars? My brother bought a new 240 in 1972 and drove it over 250,000mi before he lost interest in it in the 90's. I bought a used one in '77 right out of high school. But it became a rustbucket within 7yrs. Ive had a 79 rx7 since new but I want a Z again. Mid life crisis I guess!

I have a '77 that I got a couple months ago. I have been pondering what to do with the "New York Taxi Cab" bumpers on it. I really dont like the looks of the MSA kits, I think the back especially looks to squared off. Then I looked into doing the 240 bumper swap, possibly using the fiberglass bumpers on MSA. Then one day while staring at the car, I wondered if it would be possible to just move the existing bumpers in tighter and cut and redo the rubber bumper ends. I found this car on Ebay a couple days ago and asked the seller if he would be kind enough to send me a close up of the bumpers. I kinda like it! It definitely tightens up the look.

I'm looking for Joe. No, he doesn't owe me money. In fact, I owe him a couple of beers. He's an old buddy from the early 70s that used to race a 2 liter Datsun roadster. He was parts manager at a DFW Datsun store for a while back in the early days of Zs. The last I saw him was in '74. We lost touch. Anyone know of Joe (he'll be 62-64 years old now) please let him know I'm trying to find him. Nostalgia is kicking in. Regards,

well the worst time in a while has befallen me, dear fellow members, I have to sell my precious beauty. I got laid off my job with no work in the near future and I have to sell the Z to make rent through the end of the year. Right now life sucks! However on a lighter note I'll be able to replace her in the spring when I get my taxes, if I can find one I don't have to travel half-way accross the country to buy. It sure is gonna be painful to see her go. She's in the classifieds if you want to take a look. I'll be back when I get her replaced, until then, Happy Holidays to all! Dan
