Heading to Denver, CO at the end of Aug for vacation. Just wondering if there is any kind of a Z meeting or if someone from the site wants to meet up for some Z talk.

I am sad to say that I have decided to sell my '81 280ZX. The good news is that she will hopefully end up in a good home and remain in good hands. I would love to keep her but I have amassed ten cars and with a new career beginning in a couple of weeks I will definitely not have much free time and rather than let her sit for months at a time I have decided to put her up for sale. If anyone is interested I can deliver the car in the Washington, D.C. area or in Port Saint Lucie, Florida as I will be in Florida until the 10th of September. Here is the link: http://www.classiczcars.com/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=2151&cat=1 In my signature line I have alot of pict…

I have seen some photos on this site that show different ways people have used the headlight buckets from a Z-Car, a dunce hat comes to mind. So I was rather surprised when my 9 year old grand-daughter put both of them together and called it her "Datsun-osaurus, type 240." I cracked up! but must admit it does look like some type of pre-historic creature, animal, or bird. She really likes Poppa's "very little" car. Just had to share. Bonzi Lon

An article in the Royal Automobile Club of Queensland's magazine, The Road Ahead, has some very interesting information regarding the colour of a car that is not exclusive to The Land of Oz, but to every country where cars are driven on bitumen roads. Quote; "Melbourne researchers have predicted black cars are 12 percent more likely to be involved in a crash than white cars.......". And; "..... of 17 main colours, the study found white is still the most visible and safest colour on the road, while cream, yellow and beige cars also rate well". And, "Compared to white, black was the most dangerous colour (12 percent higher risk), followed by grey (11 percent), silver …

A good friend at work has a son that bought a 80 280ZX for $800. He drove it for a week and then it wouldn't start. My buddy chased the problem down to the starter. Being the nice guy that I am, I loaned him a starter off a 78 and one from a 79. The 79 Z starter worked and fix his problem. His son drove it for two more weeks. During this time, he let me test drive the car. The car has a lot of rust but the engine, with a 5 speed, ran strong. It also had some really nice chrome wheels. Several days later the car had electrical problems and wouldn't start again. He left it parked and bought another junker. So, the son offered me the car. The good news is, I got my starter b…

Has anyone ever heard of Dry Ice Blasting?????????????? (as oposed to sand blasting). A local firm in Rockhampton has begun advertising this "revolutionary" method. According to the item in the newspaper, Dry Ice Blasting; Is non abrasive, so will not damage any equipment; Is non toxic, therefore not using any harsh chemicals or solvents; Is non conductive, so has no moisture that can be used on live power. Quote; "We can open up the inside of a computer and delicately clean with live power, then turn around and rip bitumen off the road". End quote. The dry ice used is in pellet form and is reported to have been hugely popular in Denmark, "before growing in momentum in th…
