Ok, so the time has come so I have to bite the bullet and sell the project for several reasons. I wrote a thread about this vehicle a few weeks ago, now I've returned from my vacations with even less time to sell the car. This vehicle/parts lot needs to be sold by the 24th of August, I'm running out of time. The long and the short of it is, the vehicle was a project I started a long while ago, got in to deep, and now am moving out of the house and my garage space allotment is no longer. I purchased the vehicle the 1973 240Z in 2003, it had a 4 spd manual. When purchased it ran and drove very well, everything was functional and in tact. All head lights an tailights re…

This looks very interesting with a nice '72 and a rust free '70 body thrown in. The price is too high for me but maybe for someone else here. http://sacramento.craigslist.org/car/393212410.html

not z related - i've been trying to find an online (or otherwise) source of California legal (OBD II) catalytic converters. It's for my wife's 1998 2WD chevrolet tracker (suzuki sidekick). all of them that i can find are 49-state models anyone have any recommendations (besides the $500 factory one)?

I don't know if the story goes with this link but this is how I found it. A New York man retired. He wanted to use his retirement money wisely, so it would last, and decided to buy a home and a few acres in Portugal. The modest farmhouse had been vacant for 15 years; the previous owner and wife both had died, and there were no heirs. The house was sold to pay taxes. There had been several lookers, but the large barn had steel doors, and they had been welded shut. Nobody wanted to go to the extra expense to see what was in the barn, and it wasn't complimentary to the property anyway... so, nobody made an offer on the place. The New York guy bought it at just over half …

Went into a Nissan shop today to see if I could get an oil filter for the old girl (no luck) and saw the discussed vehicle on the showroom floor. I though to myself - self, I'll soon be in the market for a new car, so why not check it out. When doing so I was shocked - why all the crap about this car, it is a dandy rig, four door, four seater, lots of headroom, CV tranny, lots of toys and last but not least it is wicked fast, with torque galore right through the band. It's not much like a Z (although the coupe ? maybe a little) - no doubt borrowed some, but I think it's an entity. A real nice family car with some upgrades for Dad, it gets respectable milage as well 27 c…

For those Nismo 350Z doubters check out this full road test & video. This car definetly has 240Z roots. http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...topanel..1 .* Sweet review & video. I agree with most of it except that the ride is better than stated & I don't hear the boominess in the cabin. Look at the measured times! I am telling you folks this car is much more than the specs....... This Nismo Z test car posts some very impressive acceleration numbers — 5.1 seconds to 60 mph, 13.6 seconds through the quarter-mile at 103 mph. Among front-engine, rear-drive coupes on the near side of $50K, BMW's twin-turbo, 300-hp 335i is quicker, as are the Corvette and Shelby …

I called a nissan dealership recently looking for the factory wiring harness for the radio. They connected me to parts and the lady answered. I asked her about it and she said: "280z??? Nissan never made a 280Z. Do you mean 350Z maybe?" I said no, it's a Datsun. She said "Well you need to call Datsun then." i told her she was Datsun but she didn't believe me. She thought it was a joke. :stupid: Needless to say, I was quite frustrated.
