The new GT-R prototype appeared at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK (June 22nd – 24th) *¹, which is now the premier motor sport and motoring festival in Europe. The GT-R prototype appeared without any preannouncements and made a couple of runs up hill climb course in full camouflage, driven by Carlos Tavares, EVP in Supercar run sessions. Is anybody familiar with the article in Road & Track Magazine, March 1977, that tests the 5-speed 280Z? I saw one at a car show/flea market, and it will probably still be there on Friday. It's not a 78 280Z, but it's mostly the same car. thxZ

I recently posted nearly 50 pics from last week's show in Nashville IN which was put together by the IndyZ club. It was a first class event and if you did not make it you missed a good one. The show had almost 100 Z's entered and hopefully as you can see from the pics the class of cars was second to none. Thanks again to Jeff, Mark, Beth and all the other volunteers that put on this great event.

I recently came in position of some new products from Meguiar's . The paint on my Z is in vary good condition to start with . The clear has some slight surface scratches like you get from washing, that cant be helped. It had only been a month or so since I had waxed the car. I was cleaning the Z for a show for that afternoon and I did a stupid thing . I tried the new wax on half of the hood. I know. :stupid: Under the fluorescent lights in the garage , which show every little flaw, I could see a marked difference in the shine and finish. So I had to wax the whole car . To my surprise his took all of 20 min. ! I applied the wax over the entire car and let …

Obviously when done right this is a very expensive feat so I'm offering my services editing photos in exchange for some pennies for the project Editing can be anything from basic colour and brightness adjustment to complex enhancement and effects. An update: It sounds like the party that rear ended me is being evasive. Their insurance has not been able to reach them to conduct their investigation. So I gave the other party a call and requested that they return Mercury's phone calls so that my car can be fixed. If this keeps up I will persue legal action. They are underestimating a Z owner's love and pride for his car. Anyway, hopefully it'll be taken care of soon.

I finally sold the BMW z3 I bought down south, so I can now get back to the 240z. I made a small profit (which I intend to sink back into the 240z), but the time I wasted and aggravation made it almost not worth it. I plan on getting it media blasted within a week, then a few minor metal fixes, then off to the body shop for paint and prep. I'll keep everyone posted and put up pics as soon as something changes.
