driving to daytona?

hello everyone, I'm planning on having the Z ready to roll to daytona by october, (in the body shop now) and was wondering if anyone else was driving down from the eastern Virginia area. I live in Smithfield which is a small town in tidewater (newport news, hampton, VA beach area). Anyway thought it would be cool to ride down with some other Z's. I went to the Tidewater Z car club's website but didn't see anything about it, maybe I just missed it. Anyway thanks and see ya there.

Last year I was very happy and proud when my roadster was used for the JCCS (Japanese Classic Car Show) poster and post card. This year, I almost as proud to at least know the owner of the Datsun represenitive on the show items. http://www.japaneseclassiccarshow.com Regisration will be open on 15th!

After three awesome years on the Florida Panhandle (driving my Z year round ), we're on our way back to Canada at the end of June. I've decided to convoy with my wife and drive my 240Z the 3,000 miles back to Cold Lake, Alberta. I'm looking forward to the drive and hopefully a break in the humidity when we get away from the Gulf. We'll be spending two nights in Memphis, cause my wife wants to see Graceland. The only other significant stop on route will be Mount Rushmore. Maybe I'll take some pics on route and post them here. Wish me luck!!!

I really hate to be rude, but I've been looking for an understandable vacuum diagram for my 76 280 for some time now and all I get is for the hvac. Understanding I don't have ac and all my heat and air controls are cable likage and also the routing diagram and ledgend in the FSM is crap, does anyone know of a diagram that real people can read? I've seen several posts on several sites of people asking for the same thing as me and getting directed to the hvac diagram. Really do appreciate the helpful spirit, I don't think that when a guy is asking " po removed all the vacuum hoses, I don't know how it even stays running." how the hvac diagram is going to help. I've read a lot of post where people prefer the 240's. Is there something I don't know. Is the valve on the 280's different? I would say I hope I didn't buy the wrong one, but I really don't care either way. I'll never sell the car so I'm not worried about what I'd get out of it. What I am worried about is if there are any "problems" with them.
