Oil Change instructions for Women: 1) Pull up to "Jiffy Lube" when the mileage reaches 3000 miles since the last oil change. 2) Drink a cup of coffee. 3) 15 minutes later, write a check and leave with a properly maintained vehicle. Cost: * Oil Change $20.00 * Coffee $1.00 * Total $21.00. Oil Change instructions for Men: 1) Go to auto parts store and write a check for $50.00 for oil, filter, kitty litter, hand cleaner and a scented tree. 2) Discover that the used oil container is full. Instead of taking it back to O'Reilly's to recycle, dump it in a hole in the back yard. 3) Open a beer and drink it. 4) Jack car up. Spend 30 minutes looking for jack stands. 5) Find jack st…

Some of the responses to my post on our upcoming return trip to Canada (http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=26355) has made me wonder how many of you have taken really long road trips in your Z? What year Z did you drive? When was the trip? How far did you go? Did anything significant / unforgettable happen on your trip? For me, my longest trip to date was from Monterey, CA to Cold Lake, AB (1,913 miles) in 2000. I drove me 240Z and my wife drove our Honda Accord. Right up until two weeks before we left Monterey, my 6-month old son would fall asleep whenever we started driving. Two weeks prior to departure he changed from loving the car...to h…

Member Art had some SU's up for sale and I was the lucky one to get them. Just letting all know here how NICE it is to receive an item, in a timely manner, receive communication from the seller about it being sent, and have the item be EXACTLY AS Described. I haven't had time to run these yet, but it is a very nice, clean, complete set. THANKS ART!

Just a heads-up, folks. Used to be that if an eBay user changed their username, there was a little icon. Seems to me that such a user had sunglasses for a while, to indicate a name change. Also, I recall there being a way that you could look up the users' history on name changes as well. This appears to no longer be the case. Case in point, there is no user ur-gelis anymore. Instead, he now goes by the name datsun-parts. I can find no place to verify this, but did hunt through the forum here to find a link to one of his previous auctions, and sure enough, the username is now datsun-parts. One more example of eBay taking care of its sellers, at the expense of buyer informa…

I have a quick question about some headlights that i recently purchased off of ebay. On the page it says that the headlights are S.A.E/DOT stamped but when i recieved them today i looked all over the headlights and found nothing. I know for a fact that it is usually stamped somewhere on the lens but they do not have ANY type of stamp anywhere. Which leaves me in a $108 hole. As you can imagine im very upset becuase it leaves the lights useless they wont pass inspection right? At this point do i have the right to sue for false adverstisement? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=010&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=200116947…

I was watching a show on Discovery Channel at lunch called "Sucking Amps". They turned a postal van into an electric drag racer. At the start of the show the main guy was driving around an electric 280ZX. It was actually quick too!! Here is a link to the postal van http://www.electrifyingtimes.com/going_postal.html

Hello everyone. I am really upset this morning from the accident my 280 suffered last friday after work. All things considered, the damage is not that bad. I was hit from behind and all that was evident of a collision was a nasty dent in the bumper and slight tweak in the overrider. Clearly it was the other person's fault. I am concerned about the chances of my Z getting fixed because the driver of the vehicle that hit me was not on the policy. The actual owner of the 96 Acura told me he was going to make a false report to his company and say that he was driving. Although at first this sounded like a good way to ensure that my car would be fixed, I gave it some thought …
