I need some help guys. We acquired a 79 Toyota Corona DLX the belonged to my wife's deceased grandmother. It is in very good condition with just 82K miles. I've been pouring some money in it regardless replacing wear parts like tires, shocks, brakes, exhaust.... Anyway it has an A40 3 spd auto tranny and a 20R engine. The throttle pressure cable that runs from the carb to the tranny got stuck, and basically took away any gas pedal travel. So my Z guy took the cable off and I'm driving it without this cable, which normally provides kickdown. I cannot find this cable anywhere, and am wondering if any of you with Japanese friends in Japan might have connections with s…

last sunday we unloaded our fish at the dock and a freind of ours runs the forklift. the weather is nice and the tourist are out. next day we hear that two cars were parked in the way and the lift driver couldn't load the fish on the truck, so he uses the forklift and moves them. that can't be good for the undercarriage. police were called and charge him with mischief. got a blast of sh#t from his boss but not fired, yet.

I am trying to help the original/owner builder of this Z locate his car. I know this Z is not many folks cup of tea here at ClassicZCar but I also know there are many well connected Z lovers on this site. More info can be found half way down this page. http://zlalomz.googlepages.com/streetimsa

Greetings All, There is no bluebook value for under 1980 Z's that ive found, take a look at my pic gallery, i decided to purchase her for 2700 us. title and odometer state under 76,000 miles, few small rust bubbles on rear fender and some minor dings here and there. other than that seems almost all original. all the numbers seems to match and I wouldnt git rid of her for anthing at this point, question is how much do 77 280's go for in good condition?

heres the story, a guy walks into my shop and says he's got a couple of 240z's that he needs to get rid of. after talking with him for a minute it turns out one is a 1970 and one is a 1972. The next day i go check them out. The 70 is vin #00371 i'm pretty sure its a 70 because it has the vented decklid and no "Z" vent in the quarter panels. But i could be wrong. Anyway both cars have been sitting for what looks like quite a few years, but he said the 72 ran recently and needed some carb work. The roof on the 70 is caved in pretty bad, he said a goat jumped on it, he then said he thinks the 72 has had the roof repaired also because its full of bondo. As far as rust…

yes its me again hi all Ive been revising the data collected of the past 6 years. with such improvments i cant go and get some one to test my head flow i would be giving techonogy away i will have to build myself a flow rig case 1 I have a ve of 148% above 2000 RPM please correct me if im wrong. ive calculated the air flow against a stocker 1 fill a 60 L garbage bag at idle 4-5 seconds ~.7 cm/min 2 vac secondary main jet flows fuel at ~2000 ~2.96 cm/min 3 deplete fuel supply with single pump delivery ~1.2l/min @6000 ~8.7 cm/min derated because of its age the book states 1.4 L/min delivery rate, ive measured it at 1.2 L/min case 2 I have a 7 psi boost for free above 200…

Yes well, hmm Some of you said it wouldn't work, see old posts by SmokingWheels I still had to prove it for my self though. I'm not game enough to push my stock L series engine past 7500 at this speed the valve train just starts a light cardac arrest. This level of arrest was prevously 7100. However it will go ~100-200 higher, before things really stop working, I dont want any windows in my block again, Ive read that peak intake veloicty is good to about mark 0.5 Apply the Golf ball therory to the valve, So how heavy is the intake valve now at that speed? 1. lighter valve springs for same rpm 2. more rpm for the same springs and running gear 3. a little analog mod ?????…

Hi everybody, My name is darbji. I just bought a 1976 280Z! I did a fair amount of research on the car. And I work at AutoZone so I obviously priced some random parts and such. But I want to know anything and everything I possibly can about this car. I found her and fell IN LOVE!!! She's a gorgeous silver and black two-tone. Someone put some strange rims on her that I'm not sure if I love or hate. She's still to new to have picture of. After all, I only bought her a few hours ago. But I digress. Is there anything I should know? Anything I might be overlooking? I want to learn everything! I love my new car!!!
