Ever wonder why your turn signals act a bit wonky or even stop working??? Here are the contacts for the '72 switch I recently worked on. That's a nasty buildup of carbon to block the flow of power. The second pic is the same contacts after working them over with a small file (a points file to be specific 😉).

This has probably been mentioned already somewhere but I just stumbled across it on the Datsun Spirit web site. A new cylinder head for the L6. Can't find many fine details about how it differs from the factory casting. Some comments about combustion chamber volume and port shape. The Stage 5 engine - https://www.datsunspirit.com/engines The link from the DS page. You'll need the ability to read Japanese or Google Translate - http://www.pams-japan.com/30cafe/project.php Some video links. They seem to be focused on maximum noise. Drag racing.

Has anyone tried the AC hoses Godzilla Raceworks makes specifically for the Vintage Air evaporator? This looks like it might be the lowest cost option to complete the AC system’s refrigerant circuit. https://www.godzillaraceworks.com/hvac/datsuns30vintageairhoses I would really like to have stainless steel hardlines for the majority of my system, but I can’t rig weld OR silver braise, so it may not be possible for me to do myself. I was also looking into Aeroquip EZ-Clip connectors and narrow hose, but I’m unclear as to the reliability of that vs beadlock fittings. These Godzilla hoses will definitely be cheaper and I won’t have to buy tools. I just do…

I posted a short video of the use of a magnetic finger. I bought some a few years back, and sometimes I remember I have them. They can be handy for getting washers and fasteners into tight spaces.

I'm anxious to get and see some photos of our cars during this super hyped eclipse. We had one in 2017 and although I took some cool pictures of light shining through the tree leaves, they looked liked stars all over my yard but wow for 5 minutes. Here's the closest picture I have of what this "purkinje" is supposed to be.
