I have given this much thought and ultimately, I have reached an important decision. Being a fellow car enthusiast, I fully understand the value of a rare piece. Through my 16 years of owning and driving Z’s, I have become quite familiar with their lineage- including a fair amount of technical knowledge. Overall, I have owned a 240(‘72), two’78s, and two ZXs. Brief history: My current Z is somewhat of a rare example (BPE). Although it obviously has seen far better days, the Z is a solid Southern- California car. The rust is limited to what I feel to be “design issuesâ€ i.e. the dog legs, lower fenders, etc. Initially, I purchased this Z in Feb’95 with a bad …

For the Skyline fans here. Saw this today. Wow! http://www.autoblog.com/page/2/ "During our time in the grand metropolis of Geneva, we had every intention of spending some quality time at the tuner expo adjacent to the main halls. But with all that was going on, time was limited, and aside from the R8-ified TT and those kick arse chairs that our friend Paukert found, there wasn't too much of interest. Then we came across this. The European firm DigitalChip didn't think that the stock RB in their shop's Skyline R34 GT-R had enough juice, so they yanked the stock mill and replaced it with a 7L V12. And then – just for kicks – bolted on four turbos. The result: 100…

This one looks pretty good, especially the part where the owner is willing to trade this car (and all the goodies) for something of equal value. Claims to have an uncracked dash, comes with extra engine & trannie, and a kick arse gas pedal -seller seems pretty straightforward about the condition...definately worth looking at

I posted this question because I didn't know where to put it. Well, anyway. Does anyone know about the history of my 260z? It used to be in california with license plate 3VHR693 and was transported to cold country of finland in year 2000. It has been in L.A ranch warehousing in year 2000 for some reason(to be fixed I guess...). And before that I think it has been bought from salvage auction 1999. Has anyone owned this car before? or know the history before 1999? Why the car has been painted yellow that bronze? How bad accident has happened to the car? Any information would be nice. The information, which I most would like to have is what kind of accident has happened to t…

Did anyone else see this? I kinda think it's a steal if it's really an anniversary model. Would pick it up if I didn't just get a ZX already. Would like to see a Z lover pick it up and restore it though. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/car/290910464.html Scott

Just wanted to mention my Z just turned 37 years old this month! I was fortunite enough to find it in 1983 and have owned it ever since. I'm still amazed I have the same paint job (it's still shinny red) as when I purchased it 24 years ago. Gotta love these cars:love: .........!!! Tom

Hey all. I picked up my car this morning from the shop. I found the mechanic from a rx from Stephen Blakney, Z-car Specialty in Upland, CA. Thanks Stephen. I was getting worried as it was taking a long time from my point of view, 2 1/2 months, but in the end it turned out fantastic! The shop bored the block and rebuilt the head. New timing chain and oil pump. They also installed a new clutch, pressure plate and t/o bearing, new brake M/C and slave cylinder. After the motor was installed, he could not get any oil pressure and found the new oil pump was bad, so he had to replace that. Prior to taking it to the mechanic I installed z-therapy carbs, It has new bra…
