I am looking for a set of period (1972 240z) correct "factory accessory door mirrors". The mirrors were installed at the dealership and included in the "factory accessory brochure" at the dealerships. They were cast "pot" metal, had rectangular mirrors and were bullet shaped. They came in black and were usually painted to match the car prior to installation. I have seen them from time to time on ebay. Does anyone know of a source for these mirrors? JLP

Hi, does anyone know where I can get the hardware to attach my air cleaner to the carbs, including the wing nuts? I've tried ebay, auto store, wrecking yards, and two different Z books that I have, and nobody lists them.

This was sold on ebay from Australia just in the last week by a New Zealand seller to an USA based buyer for US$330.65 - equals approximately AUS$430. This was a NOS December 1977 Parts Catalog in mint condition and would be quite the rare item to be found in such condition. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=003&sspagename=STRK%3AMEDW%3AIT&viewitem=&item=130078076531&rd=1 8 bidders in all and some activity in the last hour before the auction finished. Hard to tell the history of the other bidders as ebay over here seems to hide the identity of the bidders after the bidding exceeds AUS$200 (annoys me personally as I prefer to k…

I have been driving my 280Z daily for over a month now and have put less than 1k miles on her so far, but I need to start working on her and getting down to business on my project... so I have decided to find a cheap ride for now, Ive found a 1973 Datsun 620 Pickup in the trader for 600$ obo, I have to check it out but I LOVE the looks of these trucks, it'll make for a good get around auto while I save and build my 280.. just thought this might be cool to tell everyone how everything is workin out for me -Jared

Tomorrow is a big day in the land of OZ. The 26th of January is Australia Day, a public holiday. Practically every City and town in the country will be celebrating with activities, entertainment during the day and fireworks at night. The All Classic Motor Club, of which I am a member, has been invited to display our cars at the Rockhampton Heritage Village tomorrow. Should be a good days outing, even though I have to travel about 80 klms round trip. I know there'll be a 240Z there plus my 260 and we're hoping for a 280 to complete the series. I have a 2ft. x 3ft. Aussie Flag attached to the radio antennae. Hope it doesn't snap off. I'll take a few pics and post them when …

when i bought my zed it was listed as "needs nothing" which is basicly true. But i have this urge to buy spare parts. for instanse,so far i've bought a set of hub caps. i've been out bidded on a set of tail lites, door mirrors, more hub caps, valance parts, washer bottle, dashes, door panels, consoles and many other items that i don't really need.:stupid: good thing i'm out bidded or i'd have a garage full of spare parts. just today i was tempted to buy a spare OEM windshield ($100) that i could pick up an hour drive away, but thought better of it. does anyone else have this disease or is it just me?? ps-if i have a spare windshield i figure i'll never need to use it.

Hey folks, I'm going to be in Phoenix for training in the middle of next month. I'll be staying downtown, without a car. Any suggestions of things do or see? Restaurants for dinner? I'm going to be at loose ends (assuming no homework) for 6 evenings...

Hey guys and gals, This is way way off topic and not even car related, but considering this is something I'd share with friends I believe I should share with y'all! The web site is www.zillow.com It gives you approx values of your house and those around you. It's pretty cool and can also give you an aerial photo. Once you put in the address you want to look up and it comes up with the initial page click on the underlined address to check out the aerial photo. Like I said, it's pretty cool. Have fun, Nate :beard:
