WoOt! wOoT! On January 6th I am going to be headed to california to visit my 240z and work on here a bunch! Going to be out that way for 8 days or so. I am going to be in the Santa Cruz area. Anyone out this way? I wouldnt mind checking out some fellow members Z cars, take a few spins, maybe get some help on my Z if needed, and maybe if I can get my Z running while I am out there, take it for a spin with other Z cars. Strut around town in a Z gang or something. :devious: Let me know if you are out in that area and might possibly want to hook up if possible. With me having such a short time out there, me leaving my Z might also be immposible too so it may or …

Hi guys, I seem to be running into all kinds of problems while trying to work out all the bugs in the Z i just bought. With the advice of many here i have made a ton of improvement. Car has been running good but i have noticed something yesterday and today. At idle i can feel the car "missing" or making a subtle popping noise and i notice that the Tach jumps in sync with the popping. Off of idle the car will hesitate badly unless i rev the engine enough to get her going. I also noticed that this popping will occur sometimes while driving almost like its missing a cylinder or something. I am leaning towards some type of ingition problem since i have correctly rebuilt and r…

The first Japanese car that truly mattered. Just got my January '07 edition of Automobile and was pleased to see that the Datsun 510 has been featured in thier Collectible Classic section. Stop by the store and pick up a copy, or just flip over to page 106. I don't have a scanner, just my camera phone, so here are some poor quality shots to whet the whistle.

Need some feedback. With the extra 240 in the garage, thinking about building the old school flared 70's Z look. MSA street flares(not the full round ones), no hole front air dam, and my set of 14x8 slots w/BFG 245/50/14's and 265/50/14's on the rear. To top that off, toss in my Turbo Tom L28. Hate to start carving until I get some approval from you guys. With two other very nice semi-stock 240's, I figure I might as well have some fun! Photos should be up any time.

Dear santa I have tried very hard to be good. I haven't done anything real bad and am trying to leave my boss alone. I know it isn't his fault that his parents are related. I would also point out that I haven't pee'd on his car in a long time. I have also kept my yard work up and kept the music down to a dull roar. So if you think I have been good enough this is the only hing I want. www.johnstarkeycars.com/pages/for_sale/Nissan810.html. I promise to try even harder to be good next year. ps. I will leave the garage unlocked and have pizza and guinnes waiting for you thanks. merry christmas, GRIM:classic: :classic:

NOT MY STUFF, but for sale... Local craigslist pulled up some cool results: Pics & replies to serious buyers only. I have a JDM 240Z Five Speed early Z car transmission (B-style gearbox with two-piece driveshaft, steel synchros & flange type rear output--not slip-fit like domestic gearboxes)...if you need a visual, it's like a 2000 Roadster gearbox, but it's a "B" not "A" style. Also for sale is a lightweight modular flywheel (aluminum w/steel friction surface & ring gear (approx 11 lbs), and a set of Dell'Orto triple carburetors complete w/manifold, air horns, linkage & new air filters. These parts will work in any properly set-up L-series inline six cyl…

I have been trying to upload photos into my gallery of my trip to Classic Datsun Motorsports. :stupid: I am experiencing difficulties, when I click on the upload button after listing the photos from my hard drive it comes back that it can not find the web site. Any one else having problems, what am I doing wrong. I have uploaded photos before and have not had any problem.

hello z people: i have a tight budget. have some cash to work with, definitely, but not a ton. i don't expect to get a show room new 240 or anything, but i don't want a beater rust box either. my last z was wrecked sadly. anyone interested in partial payment and barter? OR any IDEAS for WHERE to LOOK for OTHER Z CARS for SALE? i've been to craigslist, zcar.com, and the recycler. LOOKING IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, but will drive reasonable distance to bring home my baby. i have a degree (B.A.) in graphic design, and over a decade of experience in advertising in NY, design in Baltimore and DC, and now LA. I can design anything. so if you happen to have a business and…

Not too long ago there was a little scare that maybe the IZCC mailing list dying or dead. Well there erupted a lot of chatter about that. :paranoid: I remember when this club began, and I remember talking to Mike about it. Anyone around then will remember it was not an easy decision for Mike and for those of us that support his effort to start this club. It was feared that a split would breakup the Z community and fragment it permanently. Well it didn't happen that way, but lots of other sites have sprung up since then. :classic: I think and hope that Mike would agree that we should never let the IZCC lose it's status as the mother of all online Z clubs. I think …
