I am looking for NOS right and left Headlamp Assemblies for my 1972 240Z. I have a NOS left from a 260 along with the new materials to retrofit the wiring but I need a right so I may as well try to find both and resale the 260 assembly. I also need a NOS right turn light assembly. Any ideas. Thanks Jerry

Mike, I know it has been said before, but I miss this site when it's gone -- maybe too much. I think it interferes with my work and I know it cuts into my Z time (as well as exercise, keeping the dog entertained, etc.). Just wanted to say I'm glad to see it back up and running. I was going thru w/drawls.

The Z i purchased has the k&n breather filters on the valve cover and on the engine block. I noticed that they both emit smoke when under a load and are very oil soaked. To me this seems like a mess and i dont really like the idea too much. My question is, can i just run some rubber hose from the two into some sort of drain bucket in a hidden location or just run hose from one to the other to block it off completely? Also, the breather tube from the engine block has another smaller spout coming of for what looks like some sort of vacuum hose or something. I dont really like the idea of having open spouts and oil dripping on my motor so can anybody please elaborate on …

Can someone in Riverside look at a car for me. I hate to drive out, just to find out it's a clunker. Of course, in the description, it sounds like a cream-puff, but I've seen how reality can quite different. The owner claims to have no digital camera. PS - It's a 510

I just purchased a 240z that is in good shape but the previous owner had it tuned really weird. It needed a new distributor so i dropped one in and cleaned the carbs up really well. It has the regular L24 motor but has been beefed up a little with dual webber dgv carbs and it runs like garbage. The timing is definately tweaked. I dont have a light and wont be getting one for a few weeks but does anybody have a suggestion on how to time it by ear? Any tips and tricks would help greatly. Thanks in advance!

Today is the fourth anniversary of buying my 204Z.:cheeky: It has sat in the garage, and at times parts of it have been scattered all over the house, basement, attic, etc. But in all that time it has never moved under its own power. I am getting closer all the time however, I just need a few more months and a few more dollars. (OK more like a few hundred more dollars.) Am I all alone here, or have others been down this road before? (I need some encouragement...)

Could one of you guys from the places where Zs are sold withthe steering wheel on the right(not to be confused with correct!) side of the car see if the 240Z mirrors are available from the Nissan Dealer. A bunch of us Yanks are interested in huying them and having them shipped. Thanks to Carl Beck, we have a part number: 96301-P7200 I will post a picture a little later to help verify what we are asking for. Will

Just as an FYI... our move to Las Vegas is now complete. The Datsun arrived via Car Carrier last week. I am looking forward to getting involved with the west coast Z crowd, and enjoying thelack of rain for awhile. If anyone of the boards is planning a trip to Vegas..Mi Casa is Su Casa.
