I roadster owner from Malaysia would like to ID the datsun wheel in his 1500 roadster. It's not a 510 SSS wheel as I first thought or the PS30 wheel. 240K? C10 Skyline? See the whole thread at http://www.311s.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=5232

And search "datsun 240z". Alot of these guys seem to be driving on the wrong side of the road. I think there is a club member or two on these clips.

I have replaced the distributor in my older mopar's before but never in a z. I need to put a new distributor in my 1972 240z and have located a brand new oem single point distributor in my area. Can i run this distributor for a few weeks until i convert it to electric with a pertronix kit? If yes, any advice in how to change the distributor properly and gap the point would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for your information in advance.

After seeing other people's YouTube Z videos I had to do one myself. If you go to my video YouTube will automatically show links to other Z videos. My car is the 319th Z made in 11/69. It is mostly stock and has never been rebuilt. I tached it up to 6k RPMs in 2nd and 3rd. The straight 6's sound cool :-)

You guys still rock hard. I've been forced to pay a great deal more attention to my studies than my Z, but, as luck would have it, I've stumbled upon a cheap (albeit smallish) garage for rent near my school. Classes don't seem so boring these days with my Z on the horizon! Hope you've all had an excellent past year or so, and find yourselves in good health and good spirits.

Just thought I'd share this. Last Sunday night, instead of taking it easy or working on my Z, I got cabin fever and started going from chore to chore. As it was getting cold at the end of October I'd already pulled the 9.5 HP Merc off my aluminum fishing boat and stored it in the garage. My boat is in the old (and leaning) boathouse built on my property long before I was born, I decided I needed to lower the rickety old door even though no one ever tries to get into it from the river side. The door system is pretty shaky, with two counterweights on cables on each side. It must have had a center pull at one time, because there is a third pulley located in the middle, but…

DATSUN 1971 240-Z 6cyl, 4spd, needs restoration, orig cond. $995. 832-5453/ 688-8817 http://classifieds.abqtrib.com/search.php?offset=25&query=where+class+%3D+3030&final=&class_sect=Classic%2B%2526%2BSpecialty&a_date=ALL&max_results=25&PHPSESSID=acff1220e41271efc9a2521002d00667 Found the above ad in the Albuquerque Tribune. Called on it and the owner gave a 12/70 built date, no sn, number matching engine - original - doesn't run, but the engine turns over; repainted in the past and is peeling, some "surface" rust; NM car from new; interior bad shape; Not real informative other than that. Would need to be trailered by purchaser. I am going t…

I'm looking for a thread about a guy who destroyed his R200. He was drag racing and the cross pin shaft had come part way out and smacked around the inside of the case. He had pics, and I'm after the pics, but I can't find the thread to ask the guy if he would mind me using them. Anyone remember this? Can someone find it for me? I searched and can't seem to locate it.

I'll apologize first if there is already some discussion about this that I can't find. Can someone either direct me to the proper thread or enlighten me as to why most of the earlier Z's seem have the wheels located too far forward in the wheel openings? The front seems to be OK by the time the 2+2 came along. The rear seems to still be out of location into the early 80's. I first noticed this on my 73 when I was making the body straighter. Sense then I've noticed it on most of the straight side view photos that I see. I remember a thread that talked about moving the differential but that wouldn’t change the wheel location. Thanks, Larry

Ha, I'm trying to post a new thread and I think I just found an appropriate spot to do it. My primary interest is in design (Industrial and Transportation) and I've noticed here that there is a very well established feeling relative to where Nissan is going with the 1st and 2nd generation 350Z's. There may be some strong feelings about the 2+2 cars as well or even the differences between the 240, 260, 280, 300zx, etc. So, How do you feel about the most recent Z's and why do you feel that way? Or how do you feel about the Z car you drive and the rest of the Z line? In order to keep these thoughts in some kind of usable and understandable order it would be good if you cou…
