I was at the San Jose Grand Prix this weekend, and I was walking across the track when I spotted someone wearing a Classic Zcar shirt. I went to speak to him, but the crowd was too thick? So, who else was there besides me?

Hey guys, I will be going to Japan March of 2007. We will be flying into Tokyo, and doing most things around there, and "electronics city", and whatever else. I am wondering if anyone knows car things to do around there. If anyone know of places to find where shows, races, drifting, or any museums to go to. It will be the last week of March. Also, anything else thats great to do, let me know. I'll have a week. thanks, Joe

G'day all, I am in the process of replacing the bushings in the front end of my 82 280ZX. Tonight I intended to replace the front control arm bushings but came across a problem. The bushings I recieved from MSA (urethane) have a larger diameter than the standard ones. The busings I have for the rear (also from MSA) are the correct diameter but are longer than necessary. Was there a difference between bushings for the coupe and the 2+2? Cheers Haydos

I have noticed that a lot of people have been struggling to get their hands on this great classic Japanese car magazine from Geibun-sha, but do not want to pay the exorbitant costs your local "Japanese speciality stores" charge (often at 4-5 times the retail price in Japan). There is an alternative, as has been mentioned briefly in the past (e.g. here). You can order direct from a company called NIPPAN IPS. They will charge the RRP for the magazine + postage to your door. It works out to about $20 AUD for Australia, which is about the cheapest you will get without going to Japan and buying it yourself. Excellent service and prompt delivery. You can organise to order back …

Imagine the following scenario: You’re driving your import-Z(X), Skyline, MG, Mini, Austin, Fiat, etc. (whatever rare beauty you have) and you see another of like make (maybe not the same year/model, but part of the family nonetheless) and you honk and wave at it-I do whenever I can. It’s nice to recognize good taste, I think. Unfortunately, Chances to recognize fellow Classic Z drivers have been very few (2 since January, ’06) in my area so I’ve been trying to show recognition towards the later models. Here is what I have noticed-300zx drivers reciprocate and acknowledge our vehicular kinship. 350 DRIVERS DO NOT (with one exception, but he’s a friend of min…

Whenever I have a problem or am looking for some little known specification on the Zed, I know that I can always find it here quickly at the Classic Z site. However, I have to share this. I have been asked to look at a Ford Laser and "give it a bit of a tune" for a female relative. This seemed to be no problem, I will just go to the Ford Laser Website and look up some specfications, mainly tappet clearances, plugs etc. After several days I have come to the conclusion that the Zed site is a far superior site (knew it all the time). Without putting rubbish on the Ford Laser Forum (ah well I am to a degree) this is the sort of information passing that is going on th…

I was just wondering which one if any, some of you guys use. Sorry it's off topic, but I figure this board has some of the most knowledgable car minds that I have access to. Thanks in advance Scott

I was looking around about an aftermarket radiator and stumbled upon this here. From what I can see looks like it might be worth it> I have spent just about this amount on my tank. Just wanted to pass this on. http://www.radiatorexpress.com/product.asp?part_id=40220

Check this video out. It's a Type R Vs Nissan 350 Z. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13SnWHOCbjk&mode=related&search= In the video, the civic gets ahead of the 350Z right off the line (rolling start on a freeway) and gains. Sounds like the 350Z driver didn't want to shake the car to death ( video was waay too shakey) or was just out for a joy ride, and the civic people were out to fake things.
