First off I would like to say thank you to all my fallen military brothers may peace be with you. I don't know if anyone has seen the news about the helicopter that crashed near Doerun, GA this week. Well 5 people were on board and 4 did not survive the crash. On of them was a Z freind http://www.nightstalkers.com/memorial/sgt_erberich/index.html I know that all of us would have enjoyed the company of Chris. He had just started the restoring of a 73 240Z and had come to see me for info and help on where to get replacement parts for the car. This 73 was owned by another soldier named Kip Jacoby http://www.nightstalkers.com/memorial/sgt_jacoby/index.html who was shot down i…

hi guys, I need to buy a new car, coz I've had it with used cars since my 1982 BMW's 525 AC broke down while I was going to work! I thaught of buying a new car on leasing, and the plan is like this, I'll sell my 300ZX coz I really dont like it, and frankly I regret buying it, not because of mech. problems but the car doesn't taste like Z! after selling this car the real step comes, shall I buy a compact reliable car like TOYOTA yaris or corolla.. or go to higher stuff which considered as less reliable and have costly maintenance+insurance like Dodge Charger (which I admire its design between the latest models)? other thing, does anyone owe a Dodge DURANGO 5.7 HEMI?…

Ok, call me crazy but one of my goals in life is to own a car that will atleast go 200 MPH by the time im 30, im 17 now. I've herd you can make a Z go 200 for not a whole lot of money, what does that intail? also what do you guys think is the most reasonabl priced car that will do it? What will an old ferrari do? or a old 911 turbo. I really want to go 200. That was the goal when i bought my Z, 200+. Am i crazy guys?

Anyone else get this book. I just got my copy today. John Morton wrote the initial Forward. John Morton is a racing hero in the Z world and others. I've never met John Morton. Here is a single paragraph of what he wrote... There was a lot more and it didn't all sound like this, but I am upset at these words. I'm still stunned by those words. :hurt:

2006 has been a good year for my '73 240Z so far. I entered a local car show in Longmont, CO on 6MAY06 and brought home a 2nd place plaque in the 70's category. There was no category for foreign cars, the categories were divided into decades (50's, 60's, 70's, etc...). Yesterday I took home a Best in Class plaque for the Special Interest category at a local show in Mead, CO. They didn't have a category for foreign cars either, so I was entered in the Special Interest category. There was a cool Ferrari GTO kitcar based on a 280Z. It has a supercharger mounted on the passenger side of the engine. I didn't get a good enough look at it to see how it was plumbed to the …

Hey guys, Sorry I didn't make it to the start of your outing Saturday but, I did get out for a late afternoon run up and down HWY 33. I had a suspision I just might see you guys coming down 33.......sure enough, saw Victor out front but, even with my waving arm out my window old Victory was obviously focused else where. Come on Victor, there wasn't even any good looking women on the side of the road in Ojai. A minute or two later I passed some of the other guys and got the big Datsun wave. I'm sure you guys had a great time, especially with the good weather. Looked like it was a total roadster run....didn't see any Zs in the group!? Anyway, just thought I'd mention that …

I'm in Albuquerque, NM on business this week, and I lucked into a car show today! I was walking around "old town", when I caught a Z shape out of the corner of my eye. Walking toward it, I saw several other Z's! When I finally got close enough, I found two huge parking lots of cool cars! There were only two "classic" Z's - a red 1974 260Z that looked pretty good from 10 feet, and a blue 1976 280Z that was pretty sharp all around. Also a 1970 Datsun 2000 roadster that was really nice. Anyone know Charlie Banks? There were also a couple of 280ZXs, one Z31, and two Z32s. The NM desert certainly keeps cars nice. Everything from the normal Corvettes and Mustangs, to Al…

Have you ever thought that if you had the money and the means of doing so, you would approach your project completely different? Or that, you'll get it done, but maybe sometime in the future you'll re-restore it so its done much better? I was just thinking today, that even though I just sprayed primer on my car last night, there's some things I would I could've fixed differently or completely replaced. Just wondering if lots of people have pondered this.
