I was at the sports club meeting here in Cebu and was talking to my dad's old friend who had a red 1969 Corvette Stingray and he told me about this gathering in Subic Air Force Base which was at sometime the biggest US air force base in the world. Now that the military has abandoned the area, Manila based car collectors have this annual vintage sports car club that goes to Subic and drag race one another. I'm talking about Shelby gt350's, Shelby 427 Cobras,Corvettes, Big block Mustangs,GTO's and other muscle cars. So after less than a week of working on my Z I get a nice letter from the HOA (Home Owners Assosiation) that I can not have my Z parked in my driveway. Now my Z is pretty much dismantled to the shell and on jackstands. But the thing is I always cover it with a car cover and the driveway is cleaned up everytime I am done. It's also parked at the front of my driveway with three cars behind it. So why does this bother me so much ... cause my neighbor has 9 (yes that reads right) cars in a house that is supposed to be a single family home. Got feiw oldsmobils and fords. 72 chevy nova. 59 chevy biscain. 71 dodge palara. 76 datsun pick up. 69 toyato station wagan. 76 cutless 86 olds station wagan. Has a knock but dose run. Do you honk or wave to other Z car drivers? I do, but sadly my experience is that most do not wave back. You'd think there'd be some love between fellow Z drivers. I'm just not seeing it. C'mon people! Give a honk or a wave when you see a Z on the road! Spread the <3!
