   Hi: I just found another nice pic to use as my desktop to keep me motivated to keep working on my Z. When I right clicked it to save it to the desktop, I found the right click disabled. Did you do this for some security reason, or just happened that way? Thanks, Zak

   My 240Z was restored by it's PO. I'm plagued by the notorious exhaust fumes when driving which appears to worsen with the windows down. I know the hoses/grommets that come up through the body to the recovery tank are a big source of these vapors and must be addressed soon. One other thing I've noticed is the rear hatch is not flush with the body, on the drivers side, when closed. It can be assumed that the gas strut is forcing this edge upward(?). While driving, I'm guessing the hatch is pulled upward by negative pressure and possibly causing a leak as the gasket sealing in reduced or compromised helping to introduce exhaust gases. That said, is there any way to properly …

   Ok, help ole Vic out on a decision. April is approching and we all know you clean and primp and get her ready for the big show (MSA). On the other hand, Mid April, is the "7th Annual No Frills Iron Bottom Motoring Tour" and I'm getting some pressure to run. What's not in run info is the fact that this is really an all out 1,000 mile run. My co driver has done this run 2 years now and has assured me that it will be brutal. So, what's more important, Beauty ... or... street cred?

    At work today another fellow asked "How can you have fun if you don't have a welder?" and the more I thought about it the more I had to agree. So I was wondering how many Z guys and gals were having fun with a welder in their shop? I myself have a Hobart 140 MIG, probably around $700 invested, sounds like a lot but it has to have been one of my best shop investments. I haven't had it a year but I thing it is already paid for in the work it has done. I've replaced both doglegs and a rocker on my "rust free" Z, repaired a cracked frame rail from the oversized sway bar, built a lot of just old "stuff".     Sports Car Magazine

    Just purchased the latest copy of Sports Car Magazine. In it, they have an article on the 10 best sports cars form....well, many years ago until now. Anyway, the 240Z was nominated but did not make the final cut. The part that pissed me off was that they didn't even show a picture of it, even though it was talked about as a significant car. But they showed pictures of cars that didn't even get selected.....what's up? I guess they are biased against Japanesse sports cars. To make matters worse....the 300ZXT (twin turbo) was picked as one of the top sports cars, but again they didn't even show a picture of it!!! Oh well! :stupid: :tapemouth
