Last Thursday I got a call from a new roadster owner, who lived by me. He was interested in meeting a roadster owner or 2 from our area. We set up a meeting time (Sat midmorning) and location (Bob's Big Boy in Glendale). After the call I posted a "Whoever is interesed" posting on the roadster mailing list. I really didn't expect to get much response. Imagine my suprise and delight when no less than 10 roadsters showed along with 2 RHD JDM SSS Bluebird Coupes! Maybe it was the fact that it was a perfect SoCal-topless-sportscar day. We did the usual "compare details" B.S. session that would boor a non Datsun-ite to tears, ate our hamburgers and then got antsy for a drive.…

Hey guys, haven't been around in a while. Things have been hectic lately. I know this is a little off topic but I figured I'd get a good answer here. My dad requested a bottle of nice single malt scotch for xmas. I'm more of a beer nut myself so I'm clueless on scotch. I figure there's a diverse enough population on this forum that someone will have a good recommendation. Thanks oh btw, tryin to keep it under $50 Thanks

Hi all, I spent most of November in Japan, and the only car that I saw that was even close to a Fairlady was this Skyline. I know that it isn't a Z, but it is pretty nice.

I'm not a fan of Nascar, I'm a lover of CART and drag racing. Came across this bit of info on drag cars. I know most of you guys know this but I thought I'd post it anyway. According to the NHRA Communications Department, nitromethane-powered engines on NHRA Top Fuel dragsters and Funny Cars produce more than 6,000 horsepower, about 43 times that of the average street car. One cylinder of the eight cylinders of a Top Fuel dragster or a Funny Car produces 750 horsepower, equaling the entire horsepower output of a NASCAR engine. As for the engines's fuel appetite, nitro cars consume between 4 and 5 gallons of fuel during a quarter-mile run, which is equivalent to betwee…

Have you seen the video in the Great Cars series called "Nissan Z". I think it aired on PBS not too long ago. I got a copy of as a gift and it's pretty darn good. It gives some Nissan/Datsun history with some good old footage. It then goes into the development of the original Z and beyond upto the 350Z. Also has a little bit on the Roadster and some racing stuff. Check it out if you get the chance. :classic:

Well the day started out pretty normal, it was pretty clear outside when I woke up and headed off to get things done. I went by work to get my check, found out that a deduction was made that shouldnt have been... lost 24$ (thats alot when you work part time and pay insurance and gas and work on your car etc...). I was ok with that though, wasnt gonna let it ruin my day... I proceeded to the Nissan dealership to pick up both of my AFM hoses I orderd... they weren't there of course, now I have to wait until tuesday..(My hoses are rotted and I have a vaccume leak that causes my air/fuel mixture to go zaney). I was even ok with that... so I thought to myself, oh its a clear …

I would like to share with other members an experience I just had on Ebay. I just purchased a combination switch from Datsunofthebeach. After receiving the part I discovered that the right signal was not working yet everything else was fine. I sent the seller, Jim, a note explaining the situation and he immediatelyfired me back a note offering to exchange or refund my money no questions asked. I offered, but he declined to even accept postage fees. Folks, there are not many sellers on Ebay like this which is why I wanted to bring this Z-part seller to your attention. He’s got lots of stuff listed so do give a look and buy with confidence.
