Hi guys (and girls) I just wanted to introduce myself formally on here and give you guys a little info on me and my new/old kinda shiny Z-Car The story behind my love for the Z: I wasn't much of a car person in my early teens, I just cared about whether or not it got me to school and anywhere else I wanted to go. My first vehicle was a 1986 Nissan Hardbody 4x4 truck. I loved that truck, but didn't really have a deep respect for it or Nissan until I was 17 years old. It was the best truck I have ever driven and until this day will remain that way until proven otherwise. Sadly she died after a few offroad mishaps, but she died proudly at 240k miles.. and she didnt ev…

I have had a couple of cases recently when I download a new pic that it bypasses the approval stage and replaces an existing photo in my gallery. What gives? I'd like to fix these pics but I can't delete them either.

Well this evening I went to pick up a friend. I was coming up through some of them beautifull Ozarks when it happened. I was Doing the speed limit maybe a little under it. Well Going through Heber Springs Arkansas is really fun to drive on. But its in town with bad traffic and a chance that there maybe ice on the roads. I started into this tight little hairpin corner. Then it happened. The rear end popped realy loud and locked up. I span in a complete circle then it was going around again and the rear end gripped and straight into the ditch. I missed a colvert by maby 2 inches. Thought it busted the rad. But it didnt. I called my dad at midnight to get him to help me. Gee…

Recently I had a chance to look at a RHD S130 that is in pretty rough condition and came away with a few questions. So far I know it to be a 2/2 with an L20E and a 5 speed and based on the GS130 prefix it should be carrying a 4.375:1 rear axle ratio. The car has a VIN # present in the lower corner of the driver's side windshield (RHD, so for us left hookers the passenger side) but, it is a small metal (tin) tag embossed with the following: GS130 000973. Would this have been arbitrarily applied as the vehicle was being prepared to be shipped back the U.S. (using info. from the data tag in the engine bay) or at the factory? On one of the windows there appears a blue circul…

Hey gang, Just wanted to say hi. Great site here. Been lurking and learning a TON! Just bought myself a 1970 240Z. #954. 174k miles. Drove it home today. I am very excited about this. I owned a beat up '72 240 while in college years ago, and have been wanting another ever since. We've also had a bought from new 260Z, and a used 280Z, in the family. Wow, can't believe I took the plunge. The Z is in pretty good shape. Pretty much stock and all there. Some rust on the rails below, and some rust here and there. Needs lots of freshening up, but I'm in no rush, so will get to things one at a time. Would like to strip the body down and get it dipped, or just stripped, but wil…
