Just wondering if anyone has heard of the book "How to build & power tune SU carburators", Des Hamill?? I was doing some research on SU carbs and this guy kept coming up. Apparently he is another SU carb Ninja and his theory on SU carbs is that there is over 300 needle sizes that apply and no two SU carbs work on the same needle size for best performance. His book gives the tear down and rebuild info like most but he also gives a method for finding the right needle size for your SU's. I started looking for this book and I was able to find 1 in the U.S. for $120. I looked some more and I found an auto book store in the Netherlands with the book for $70 with shipping.…

Hi sorry didn't know where to post this really but lately I haven't been receiving any emails to notify me of replies to posts or photo's have been approved or comments on photos etc.. I am still receiving normal emails from everywhere else and as far as I know my ISP has not implemented any spam protection lately blocking emails of any sort. I've checked to see if my email settings under User CP are still correct nothing seems to have changed except that im just not getting emails??? Im wondering if it's just me or if anyone else is having a similar problem it's been almost a week now.

Has anyone looked into what it would cost to ship vehicles from USA to Australia and back the other way? Aren't Australian cars right-hand drive? That would be cool to trade a bunch of left-hand drive cars for right-hand drive cars. Both sides would have something pretty unique. Later...Robert

Bumpsteer spacers 1 2 3

I'm going to be replacing my existing springs and struts next weekend with Eibachs and Tokiko struts. I read quite a bit about developing negative camber from the use of the Eibach's (in general, lowering springs) as it lowers the CG 1" +/-. I know a lot of the members have Eibach's on their cars and I'm wondering if the use of this bumpsteer spacer is prevelant or basically ignored? If the spacers where ignored did you do anything special to the alignment as far as camber adjustments etc.. to counteract the lower CG? I believe I read somewhere that increased bumpsteer detracts from cornering ability which is what I'm trying to increase. If I need the spacers to get…

Hi Just for a little background I started my 240Z restoration as a high school project in autobody/restoration class three years ago. I have had my engine sitting at my high school. since I started my extended restoration. My brother and I decided to finally bring it home this morning. So we went to rent a van When we got there, Budget only had one van available. And there was another person, Kevin Taylor who wanted the van for a whole day. We decided together that if he gave us a hand for an hour we would pay for half of his rental fee. We where lifting the motor into the cube van and I guess one of the wheels on the engine stand snagged on the lip of the flatbed. and fe…
