Just a heads up to those of you who may suffer from the same momentary lapse in sanity that I did! About three weeks ago I found this ad on ebay, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7926975256 I thought-haha, here is a chance to get a 411 rearend cheep! I contacted the seller, and after three or four emails, he agreed to sell it to me for $100 including shipping. He told me that it was still on the car, and it would be about a week to 10 days before he would have the time to remove it. That sounded OK, he had 5 feedbacks @ 100% with noting unusual, so I sent $100 via Paypal, and copies of our emails in the accompanying message. 10 days late…

A few months ago I used a few words and phrases of the Aussie slang, "strine". A few of the more "mature" members, (I won't say O.L.D.), actually understood me. In the book "Great Aussie jokes and slang it says; "Australia's rich and colourful 'slanguage' testifies to our verbal inventiveness and our irreverent approach to life". Hey CARL, do you remember ever having seen the Oz movie "The adventures of Bary McKenzie" back in the late 60's ?????????. Now you septic tanks are also a rather inventive lot and I wouldn't be at all surprised if you have a "Slanguage" of your own so, how about doing a trade ????? It's quite possible we might find some common terms. After all, t…

Every now and then something odd really intrigues me. I'm sure you do the same.. Anyway here are my questions - does anyone know the answers, or willing to guess? 1. Why are the sidewalls on F1 cars and other race cars high-profiled? 2. Why do some Japanese numberplates have a big diagonal red line through them? Feel free to add your own questions if anything's been on your mind recently

I have a mate who is leaving tomorrow for the US for a few weeks. He is going to Seattle. I am getting him to grab me some springs for the Z while he is over there. Is there somewhere in Seattle that he can buy them from? I know he has a hire car over there, but don't know exactly where he is staying yet. I want to be able to tell him where to go for the parts, to save him hunting around an unknown city. Thanks Scott

This is an apology from me for not something I said or did but for for something I let slip by awhile ago from one of our members. It has been bothering me since that time. Often we differ much with each others governments ( ok all the time). But we do not have much of a problem at all with the people themselves. Even though I lived in England for 3 years, that is not my reason to comment. I have never been to France, but it is included as you will see. I'm no big student of history, so this is based mostly on my opinion alone. That said, I do not remember the thread but a member made a rude comment to you about WWII. I have seen this before elsewhere. He said something l…

Hello Classic Zcar Club. My name is Robert, I live in Albuquerque, NM USA. I own 3 Z's, a '71 240Z, a '74 260Z, and an '83 280ZX. And, I also own 2 67.5 1600 Roadsters: My Silver Roadster, and My Yellow Roadster. I've owned both of the Roadsters for quite a while, but just recently got bit by the Z-Bug. I bought the 280ZX from the original owner, it's a great daily driver. The 260Z I found sitting in someone's yard, cost me $250, but needs some work. And then about 2 months ago, I bought the 240Z out in California, and brought it back to Albuquerque. That thing is fast! Looking forward to exploring the site more. I've got alot to learn, so hope you'll bear with …

By the way, Its my first very own z, it will sleep nicely next to its brother (my dad's 1972 240z in the avitar) in the recently cleaned garage durring the winter. Ok I watched the full throttle show on them red the pair of 71's , but did anyone see that the cars were both automatics? Kinda disappointed they would use autos , also I don't agree with the holley carb usage. But atleast our Z's got more airtime which they so richly deserve, also the show has some neat old video and pics , Jeff

Just went and saw a flick and in the previews of "Bruce Almighty" Jim Carry (sp?) is driving a silver 70's Z. I couldn't tell the year because it was a quick look, But the question is: What movies have you seen Z cars in?

I was watching the show "Hot Rod" on the discovery channel. They built an all aluminum car from the ground up. Pretty nice. I was talking about it with my wife and the subject came up as to "Why, if this car is built in 2004 does it not have to meet the DOT safety requirements?" For example, bumpers, seat belts, or air bags. Any hot rodders out there????
