Since everyone seemed to enjoy my photos of last week's show, there's more on the web. Katy was there with her camera. Not surprising, as she's at most SoCal Car shows. www.katysnest.com/datsun-BBQ-Oct24 And the Dimequarterly has updated their site with a show report www.dimequarterly/2004DohenyBBQ

Hello everyone, i am new to the forum and have already found lots of info on the z car. I recently bought a 77 280z 2+2 and have my hands full. Its a rust bucket with a motor. The tranny wont go into 5th, and i hope there is no 5th, but from what i have found there is, and it shares a fork with reverse that is weak in this year of a car. I will post pictures if i can figure out how to, but just wanted to give an intro and say hello. Hello! :lick:

I have a '75 280 with a problem. A popping sound(like Compression) in the #4 cylinder when the plugs are out. The compression in all valves are 160. Also how do I look for damage in the spring rocker arm & pivot. Let me know if you have any suggestions. Stacey

Just wanted to let others in the club know that I have had recent email banterings with Bruce Palmer at ZTherapy. In the end Bruce offered me some good advice and managed to sell me a tune up kit and video for my SU's (good salesman :surprised :bandit:). Turn around time to Australia from notification of despatch to home was 1 week - Thanks also to US Priority Mail!! It has been a great service offered by ZTherapy to us distant cousins in the land of plenty. After getting home from work, looking at the TV program which meant that my choices for TV content were very lean and I could watch the ZTherapy video without argument from the handbrake (the wife). On the TV box was…

And I need to hurry and get the tire selection, suspension, engine, and LSD problems worked out.... But not bad for taking a 30 year old car, with the stock 30 year old engine, the stock one-tire-fire, the 30 year old shocks and springs, and no grip when I needed it.... And the Vids here...under OldRedZ... But I have a better engine, full suspension, bushings, and a lot of other stuff on the way...and more tires...hehe

Anyone else heard of this? Just got off the phone with Stacey from http://www.chesapeakesodaclean.com and talked at length with him about possibly using the process to strip my Z. I'll probably end up using biodegradable chemicals for the exterior, and having him do the engine bay. Price is 150/hr. My question is...is it possible/affordable to do this yourself? I have a good compressor, and if I could buy soda blasting equipment (sandblasting equip seems to be cheap), I could do this for parts later on as well (suspension pieces and such). Really is an interesting (and environmentally friendly!) technology.

I sent a photo (see attached) to my pal Carl, aka bambi-killer, yesterday. It was a shot of what I perceived to be ONE HOT working babe. Carl agreed with my opinion. However, Carl, the ever-so "thinker's man" noticed the guys (photo) in the back ground appeared oblivious to the parading work of art before them. Anyway, this (bellow) was my pre-Zoloft response to Carls keen observations; not to mention his clever remarks. So, what da ya think, are they gay, or numb-nuts (which might be one in the same)? In a message dated 10/17/2004 4:47:25 PM Eastern Daylight Time, cstahlnecker@hotmail.com writes: >Man, what's up with the guys in the background? *Nobody looking at…

Is it just me or does anybody else have a large white rectangle blocking view of a good chunk of the home page? This seems to be covering the left half of the newest forum topics down to about half the list. I guess I'll try shutting down and reconnecting. Gary
