At the body shop where my car is getting painted they have this old Chevy Chevelle SS. The owner had it rebuilt and it looks GREAT! They didn't miss a detail on this car even the tires are stock. There is only one problem with it. The place that did the restoration painted the undercarrage the same as the body. And the frame is gloss black. Both of which came from the factory semi-gloss. So now it's at this body shop getting the undercarrage re-painted. I guess it's nice to have money. If anyone is interested I can try and get some more pictures.

Going to check on a long shot on Saturday (tomorrow). It is a '71 with a L28 bored out to about 2.9L with 3x Mikunis, Racer Brown cam (adjust 360 degrees), stiff valve springs. It has a 3.9 rear end with LSD and Tokico 5 way adjust shocks. Interior has Sparco cloth racing seats, and 4 pt. roll cage. Also has front and rear strut braces. There is more, but that hits the high points. Question is this, he has autocrossed the car for a few years. He says everything is solid and there are no issues with the body or chassis. What are areas that I should be concerned with that are different from a non-raced Z? Any stress points that I might miss? Plans for this car are p…

Whilst reading through my book of handy hints, I came accross an item that might be of interest to you lot up there. I quote; Fix your car for free. Don't just shell out money to get your car fixed. Thanks to secret warranties nobody's telling you about, you might be entitled to free auto repairs. Here's how it works. Secret warranties are a response to a common problem in particular vehicles. For example, maybe the brakes are shoddy or the paint peels in certain models. The manufacturer agrees to fix the problem for free--but doesn't tell the public. The auto makers profit from this strategy, because most times, the consumer gets stuck with the bill. Unless you play det…

Hey guys. I went for a great drive today, up to Mt Glorious which is only about 30mins away from where I live. Lots of twisty steep turns, with a few bits of level drives in between. I really enjoyed giving the zed a run, and I was thinking about making it a regular thing, as I have fridays off . For me it just re-inforced what a fantastic car the zed is. This let me to the question that how many of you, and how regularly to you just "go for a drive" for no particular reason. Do you make a day of it or just a couple of hours?

Admittedly, Christopher's new acquisition of beauty number 27 inspired me for this topic - what do you guys actually DO for a living? I know a lot of guys here do IT work, but how wide does the cross-section actually go? Me - I am studying a Bachelor in Commerce majoring in management and a Bachelor in IT majoring in Multimedia. I made a poll here - sorry but there were only a max of 15 choices!! You can click multiple boxes if you do more than one thing, and it *says* that teh results are anonymous, so if you don't want us to know, but would like to add to the stats, you can do that!

The price seems very reasonable for this Fairlady Z: http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/4/8/74756948.htm This is a bluebird, right?: http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/5/7/75053957.htm I was not aware that these Bluebirds were imported to NA.
