Well, I went out and purchased the orange/orange, fully loaded, Touring, 350 coupe two weeks ago. Lord, thank you for giving me the ability and giving Nissan the guidance. My 81ZX has 312,000 hard miles on her and she still runs like a teenager on steroids. But the 350 looks like she is moving while parked in the garage. I need to say that in my opinion Nissan did a wonderful job of capturing the personality and paying homage to the original. I swear that when I am driving I feel like I am in my Datsun when she was a puppy. It is 1981 again. It is breathtaking to feel so comfortable. The only part that keeps messing with me is the short throw and the new clutch ver…

:cheeky: :cheeky: Over the weekend of 14-15 August the local Chevrolet Club is hosting the Rockhampton Motor Show. The theme will be cars, CARS and more CARS. Chevies, Fords, Holdens and lord knows what else. Oh, yes, and, of course, one lonely little 260Z named "Precious" all on her lonesome, as part of our club display. I plan to take a few pics on the day and, if it's O.K. with you blokes, i'll post a few of the best pics. Rick. :devious: :devious:

Hey guys. A little bit of bad news on the Z progress...rather, a lot of bad news. I came home from work today and unpacked my new toolset, got some Zero Rust out, and plugged in my heat gun and putty knife to see what was under that undercoating. I put the car up (front right wheel) on the jack, slid the jackstand under the frame rail, and began to lower the jack. The car made the usual creaking noises, then CRUNCH. I put the jackstand right through the frame rail and floorboard. It went through an area that looked like a patch panel to the floorpan, though I had no idea it was in reality a coverup to frame damage, along with all the undercoating. I suppose I'm lucky…

WWWWOOOOOOOOO HHHHHOOOOOO!!! Now this is what I call a vacation!! I got to ride the best ride in the world tonight in Kissimmee Florida off US 192 next to Old Town beside Disney World. It's a steam driven catapulted Mustang drag car!! It applies the equivalent of 3000 HP to the race car!!!!!!! This thing is incredible!! I had a .04 RT on a Pro tree and turned 112 mph in 1.76 seconds in 200 feet and then you stop in less than 2 seconds!!!! You guys HAVE to visit this ride the next time you come to Orlando!! They strap you into a five point harness and then you line up next to another identical car and off you go!! I got beat the third time by a girl that worked there! She …

Trying to ship an old 240z from Pheonix AZ to St.Paul MN and I'm finding nothing but way over priced quotes. I was told that if you find someone local you can get it done for sub $500. Does anyone here happen to know of any places either local or national that give you rates in the sub $500 range?

Hi All, My poor little RB26 died at an early age. Very sad about it, was entered to take the car to Drag Combat event on Saturday the 10th April and on Friday the day before it - the engines decides to develop a knock in the block. I think it must have heard of all the love we were planning for it the next day and thought to itself that it would be a good way of getting out of it. Oh well, didnt want to do it but looks like RB26 V2 will be back in the car - meaner and stronger (I hope!) - with forged pistons, rods, cams, o-ringed block and few other nice goodies. Keep you all posted. Take care, Cuong

Since the slight re-design of the web site, I noticed that I can't upload a custom avitar anymore. Is this the same for everyone else? If so, is this the new standard or was it a mistake to turn off that feature? :stupid:

Don't let anyone say we don't have Z's here in Central Illinois! Found this one this past weekend here in the backyard of a condemned house in Champaign. Been sitting since 1990. Owner said I could take anything I wanted. Took a few FI parts, and a good, uncracked, unchipped windshield, but that's about it! the entire undercarriage is buried in a foot of mud and dirt! Makes ya wanna cry

Here is a Japanese web site here in California that covered the MSA show this year. They also were at the Convention track day at WSIR. They also write articles for a Japanese magazine in Japan. They cover most import cars, but are true Z lovers. I have met them a few times and they are really nice people! Check out the gallery, maybe your car is pictured there. Craig www.katysnest.com (if you don't want to load the Kanji - Japanese character writting just click close, and it will continue to the site.) :classic:
