Hi all, I've been toying with sometime about putting an A/C unit in one of my Z's. I know the original dealer installed units were not very effecient nor that cold. I had one on my first Z and it was marginal at best. You cold feel cold air if you actually put your hand on the vent, but asking that unit to cool the cabin was a bit much. I know MSA and others sell aftermarket kits with modern compressors that are more effecient (i.e. rob the engine of less horsepower and less likely to overheat the engine.). However, what I haven't seen addressed is, do these units actually blow COLD air and effectively cool the cabin. I live in the central valley of California where…

Well, I know I am stupid to compare the two different cars. The Ferrari 575 or 355 F-1 has superior power and accelaration. However, except the super accelaration and its ponies. My point is how my 240z has excellent diving ability while driving high rate of speed in hair pin curves and vavious corners confortably almost same as the Ferrari did. Indeed my 240z was just not far from the Ferrari 575 each hair pin and tight corners while driving CA-121 from Lake Barrayessa to the city of Napa, Saturaday afternoon when I was headed to the Napa auto part store (at vallejo street) at city of Napa, CA. Whenever every exit of the tight corners, the Ferrari had impress…

Hey Gang---As some of you know, I make my living as hose monkey here in San Diego and am just now catching up with life. Fire or no fire, it seems I'm always behind the eightball. I just wanted to thank the CZCC member (you know who are) for sending me the list of jokes and to share his list with all of you. I laughed my arse off. I shared this list with my crew and they loved it! I hear it's spreading, anonymously, throughout the department. Well, you couldn't have sent it at a better time. I mean it, your timing was great and you need to know how much that meant to me...to us. Laughter was in very short supply, however, it was much needed.---Jerry >What's the best …

Here's something for the useless information file. I quote from SUNCORP COVER STORIES, issue 4--Autumn 2004. SUNCORP, one of Australia's biggest insurance companies recently carried out a survey which showed that; "Contrary to the myth of being ditzy and accident prone, blondes could in fact be the nation's best drivers. As well as having fewer crashes than others, they were least likely to be the victims of road rage and second least likely to feel rage toward other drivers. But the study failed to rule out the steriotype of the fiery tempered redhead, with flame haired women turning out to be the most likely of all respondents to "see red" on the road. As a group, …

I've been torn between going to a turbo swap or sticking with an L24 setup for some time now, and this just popped up on ZCAR.com. I wouldn't give $1500 for it, but should I go this route or do a turbo swap? http://www.zcar.com/classifieds/index.php?method=showdetails&list=advertisement&rollid=14306&fromfromlist=classifiedscategory&fromfrommethod=showhtmllist&fromfromid=34&

Well, my 16 year old, driving 5 months, has now wrecked one of my cars. Luckily it wasn't my Z, and of course I can only write this because he and his brother are fine. So !@#$!@#%! Wet road. Not paying enough attention. Rear ended another car in the Camry. Camry lost. Hood buckled, radiator pushed into engine, who knows what else. Sigh.
