I just picked up the latest (July 2004) issue of Sports Car International since it had this cover story that caught my eye. They had six different panelists pick their top ten sports cars of the 70's. Even though everyone had other cars as their top choices, the 240Z was the only car that made everyone's list. Because of this the overall rankings came out as follows: 1. Ferrari Daytona [41] 2. Datsun 240Z [35] 3. Lamborghini Countach [25] 4. Lamborghini Miura SV [19] 5. Ferrari 308 [18] 6. Ferrari Dino [17] 7. Mazda RX-7 / Porsche Carrera RS (tie) [14] 9. De Tomaso Pantera / BMW M1 (tie) [12] The number in brackets is the total score where a first place vote was worth …

Hey guys... I did do a search but not much help... what is a good price for a 1982 Turbo engine from a 280ZXT with 96,000 miles and a rebuilt turbo? I have been able to find one, but I wan unsure of the price... this is for EVERYTHING for the install including the ECU and the harness'es etc. The engine I have found he wants $630 I have seen sites with write-ups and previous installations where they bought a good engine for $200 - $300 miles.... but I am not sure... I also tried eBay and the classifieds to get an idea.. but I was just curious BTW I know this is more a classic Z car and classic engine site.. but I really love turbo's and are soo easy to add power…

Car Repairs We spend our money on new cars, Hoping for a break, From car repairs and all such stuff Those things our money take. Before too long, we find we're wrong Back to the shop we go. We get a bill that robs our thrill, And almost all our dough. Back on the road, we head for home, Assured that all is well; We see the smoke, it blinds our view- What is that awful smell? We grab the wheel and pull off quick, Our nerves are on the border. Then we discover what's the matter The rad is dry-no water! When that is done, we feel relief, We head on down the trail. "What's that," you ask, "behind us now?" A cop is on my tail. He tickets me, but it's not fair; I don't believe…

This was posted to a motorcycle forum I frequent; it seems applicable to us: Commandments Of The Garage - By Matt Farr 1.The garage shall be forever kept as the sacred realm of the Man. No lacy curtains nor gingham privacy panels shall be allowed on the windows of the sacred garage. 2.The garage shall not be cleaned, except in cases of extreme need, such as when a pair of holy Vise-Grip locking pliers hath gone missing. 3.Sawdust, grease, and oil are the holy sacraments of the garage, and thus must never be disposed of in haste or with malice. 4.Honor thy rags. 5.Complaineth not when the Man's Friends cometh over to work on a four-wheel-drive vehicle on a Thursday nig…

So Alan, when were you going to announce the fact that you were in the June Classic and Sportscar? Did you have to set the journo on the straight and narrow on the Goertz myth? Shame they didn't have a bigger pic of your lovely ZG...

19 confirmed touchdowns Saturday Night. Closest was about 12 miles from me. Count my blessings today!! Three people I know have nothing left. Makes me appreciate things more today. Like all you Z people. This morning people are finding debris as far as 73 miles away. Simply amazing the power of Mother Nature. Peace Chris
