For all you Aussie Zed car fanatics there is an article in the latest edition of Speed magazine, article is basically a comparison between the 240 and 350. The journo heaps a fair bit of praise on the 240 which is what we would all expect, however he does go on to say that the 240 was penned by Goertz and that the car "being a very early one was in fact the 696th such Zed ever made" (what about the several thousand HLS and Japanese home market cars that were built before this one). The car is also described as a 1970 car which is what it's owner believes but is in fact a 71 car, it has all the mods made from early 71 on (I've seen the car in the flesh) Taking these minor…

Everyone, I'm getting ready to do the last of the things to get ready to do the engine swap i've been planning. I'm taking out the n/a out of my car and want to repace it with a turbo engine i already have (it's just about ready). EXACTLY WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO MAKE THIS WORK? I know i'm goin to have to replace the ECU,engine compartment wiring harness, and the fuel injection harness. What else do I need to do? What can i take off of my n/a and use on the turbo? is there anything that I'm going to need to get that isn't stock for the n/a that i need for the turbo? Thanx a bunch, DeeDee

I finally got the O.K. to go to the MSA show April 25th:D . I was wondering how many members are going? Is there a place we could all meet and get a club photo? Or just shoot the breeze.

Anyone have any tips on how to insure mutiple Z car ownership? I have a clean driving record and insure my 79 280zx for 9 month out of the year. I park it in the garage December through march and just leave the comprehensive on it. Im looking at buying a 71 z that is definitely restorable, mostly needs paint and a bit of body tweeking, like the rear bumper straightened. Looks like minimal rust around the rocker panels, but not bad. I wondered about using this z only on weeknds while I saved up for a good paint job. i talked to a collector car insurance place who said they mostly insure cars that are "show quality" but would CONSIDER covering the 71. They said they migh…

So I'm reworking the stereo speakers in my '90 300z since the bose equipment went bad. That means I must remove all the interior panels. The area behind the driver seat and infront of the strut tower has a snap in panel. As I remove it there is a plastic box. WHA??? I say. I look inside and theres all kinds of headlight alignment tools including suction cups. Seems they supplied them with the car. They have been in mine unknown to me since 1990!! That area now houses my power booster. That's another story. I had a few of the small 1970's style boosters/equalizers on the shelf. the one I chose to install was a 60 watt. Maybe I can get even a smaller one nowadays. Wrong!!…

I am sickly obsessed with Drifting... I love the sport.. and I practice all the time, and I am finally able to drift every few turns or so on the track. I have seen 1 240Z which was a drifter.. it was flat black w/panasport rims and headlight covers.... but can s30 Z's be good drifters? The Weight ratio isn't too bad is it? With my Stock 280Z and Automatic tranny I can easily get the rear end to whip out using "power over" and "e-brake" and then controlling the rear with the throttle and steering and braking. I was thinking with a new suspension can Z's be good drifters? I am not sure, if I should baby my Z, or have some fun with this car? If not, than I may…

Me and a friend were out 4 wheeling in his 93' ford ranger, which has a 5 inch lift and 33x12.50's on it. we were mainly donw this road looking for a good place to camp and party in the summer(it a tradition thing:)) we were on our way out goin about 30 through some ruts that were about 1 foot deep and his passenger tire hit a stump and the tire came up out of the rut jerking the trcuk and it just started to role. As soon it was finished rolling i imediatley crawled out and yelled for him and he didnt answer at first but then he asked where he was and i told him we had flipped his truck. He then crawled out and proceeded to go ballistic that he flipped it. It was his only…

Hi everyone, Well, maybe its because Spring is creeping near, or i'm just getting itchy, but i've been "shopping" for another car. Yep, the wife sure is excited at THAT idea! Plenty of choices out there, but i'm a Datsun fan, and somewhat cheap So, question is: If you own, or have owned a 1600 or 2000 roadster- how do/did you like it? I don't need a show car, just a fun summer driver.. What do you like or dislike about them, and anything to be advised of? Anyone suggest other relatively cheap summer driver, thats cheap to insure & maintain, (a convertible) that i may look for? Thanks for any advise, wish me luck! Jeremiah p.s.- sure wish i'd bought Mike's…
