Anyone know what a trimmed out 280Z (FI) N42 engine weighs in at? I am getting an engine stand and there is a $200USD difference between the 750LB model and teh 1ton model. I really dont want a stand that could hold a mack truck engine -- just one to support my straight 6 for rebuild...

I have just finished sorting through a TON of Z stuff I got from a member on one of the forums I'm a member of and have decided that there's so much good stuff there I'd share it with this Z community. What's there you as? There are tons of pix, some video clips, and lots of info in the form of copied webpages scans of manuals and scans of Z car ads from days gone by. Has anyone got any experience with or preferences for garage floor coatings? I am moving in April, and at the new house, I have two outerbuildings to use as shops. I am currently remodeling, and I am considering using a 2-part epoxy for the floors of the two buildings. Rustoleum and Valspar both have a product that is available locally. The larger of the two buildings had a resilient tile floor that was glued down with asphalt. I have peeled the tiles up, and there is still a film of asphalt on the concrete. I have tried all kinds of chemical stripping-they don't touch the asphalt! I am goint to Home Depot on Thursday to rent a concrete grinder and take a couple of …

Would anyone know? we have a 260 with an engine (L28) from a ZX, with carbed head installed. The distributor has electronic spark instead of points. Where should the tach signal come from? I believe currently it is still connected to the negative post on the coil, yet the tach does not function. I personally have not been to the car yet to assist my friend. Any help would be greatly appreciated
