Hi All, Several years back I removed one rotor from an early car VIN #3100 or so with the "hat" vented, or with 4 slots. Would this be an early aftermarket rotor or from the factory? I posed this question via private email to several early car original owners back 3-4 years ago with all not really sure if they had been swapped out or not...none had this rotor on their cars. My interest again raised after noticing several photos in the Wick Humble "How to restore" show these same Slotted "hats"Pages 81,86,91,214. This part considered a requirement for car shows, or considered a wear item? Is there still a source for these rotors? Full of questions, david

These seem to be popular on other forums. For those that don't know, here's how it breaks down. Someone negotiates a lower price through a vendor for a product, and in order to attain that lower price, the vendor must have X number of that part ordered. Would any of you all be interested in a group buy for something Nismo for the Z's? For instance, I can nab the rear strut bar for the 240z, or whatnot, and really hook members up if five, maybe ten people buy the same part through me ( I work at Nissan). That being said, would anyone want me to start something like this?

With all the recent interest (mine included) in die cast Z models and plastic model kits, I happened to see these on Ebay today. I don't remember ever seeing any Roadster model kits before, but here's two on Ebay right now. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3175548041&category=1190 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3175558584&category=2581

...then you might want to get in contact with these people! http://www.hietbrink.com/ They also sell 'exhaust snaps'. Out of interest, what's an exhaust snap? They look a bit like a muffler.

Does any one knows about manual, links or have some advice on how to tune the 240z carburator. I'm not a professional mechanic, but I love to work on my Z.
