Before I got my z running again, it sat more than 25 years in my garage. So I took the wheels off about 4 years ago and had new tires mounted so I could make it a roller. Once I was driving it I noticed my speedometer was off by 10 mph. 65 = 55. Figured out the tires weren’t the same diameter as my still original spare tire. A long way to go to get to my question. What should my RPM be, cruising at 65 mph on the correct size tire? I am assuming the RPM runs higher on smaller tires, but I defer to anyone who has this knowledge. 4 speed Manuel transmission all original drive train. Thanks.

My rear bumper is extremely close to the body. I've read someone say "business card gap" before. Is that true or original spacing? Not a huge deal but I recently read on the "Vietnamese SS bumper" thread where they needed extra washers on the mounting brackets. Curious to know what the proper gap should be below the tag on a '72 240. Thanks for any comments, help with this. Cliff

A week in Japan 1 2

Looking at taking a 2 week vacation next year, with a week out west and then a week in Japan. Both my daughter and son want to go to Japan. My daughter wants to see Disney and honestly I’m not sure why my son wants to go but he does. I know as a kid he grew up watching some Japanese cartoon. Son will be 25 and daughter 22 then. Likely a week isn’t enough to see everything, but what are some must see things to see while we’re there? Any Z related places to see?

Hi all, I am saddened to read on Facebook that Victor Laury has passed. Victor was a long time Datsun fanatic and he helped build our club in the 'early' days. He was known to us as @Victor Laury and was one of the most helpful people I knew. He was a moderator and brought a huge ray of sunshine to our collection of pixels, 1's, and 0's. Victor was featured on our club years ago, and he drove 4 different Datsuns in his daily life. I raise a glass to Victor and wish him godspeed on his trip to Heaven, knowing that he will be driving in the sunshine with the top down. He was an inspiration to me and I treat every day as a privilege to be on this Earth. Victo…
