This has been on the news all night... Been sitting here thinking of how many times I've driven under this overpass in the last 20 years..... Makes you realize, that it's not always the idiots on the road in front, behind, or beside you that you need to watch.... Of course, in this case, there's no way anyone could have avoided this. http://www.nbc4.com/traffic/2761942/detail.html

I'm looking into buying/rebuilding a Z and I have a few questions. I have been reading this site for quite a while and I want to take the plunge. 1. Am interested in a 78' 280z, but I notice a +500lbs difference to that of a 72' 240z. Why so much? 2. What mods will it take to get a 280z from 0-60 in 7s flat? I also want a nice rumble a la early 50's & 60's ferraris. I'll have less than $1K to spend on those mods though. Any ideas? Any assistance is greatly appreciated, thanks. Pdaeira. :classic:

Anyone see this: http://autoshow.msn.com/as/autoshow2004/article.aspx?xml=chrysler1&shw=autoshow2004 Damn, what a ride! The Chrysler Group set the bar in terms of both design and performance at NAIAS 2004, revealing the stunning ME Four-Twelve super sports car prototype. The ME Four-Twelve mid-engine prototype was the dramatic conclusion to the Chrysler Group reveal of four concept cars that also included the Dodge Sling Shot, Jeep Rescue and Jeep Treo. Wolfgang Bernhard, chief operating officer of the Chrysler Group, drove the ME Four-Twelve onstage and emphasized that the super sports car is not really concept car, but a working prototype. Chrysler also showed desig…

I found this website in my search for KPGC110 things and thought people here may be keen on a few of the shells. Ace Hobby (Japan) You could always enter through their main page but the English version is still under construction so you'll have to go through their Japanese version using Babelfish or equivalent for those who can't read Japanese, like me. :classic:

It is not everybody that can be the owner of a low miles complete original never molested, never altered, accurate down to the production marks and paint of32 years. I have been lucky to acquire such a car three years ago. I am fairly new to this board and I am curious to know what kind of references exist for somebody who want to restore a 240z the closest to the condition it left the factory.

I just ordered a grand worth of stuff from MSA to finally finish my car and I have to say I'm rather disappointed with some of their products. For example: New Center Console for my 71, is made of fiberglass which is fine, but there is visible cracking in the tray and the thing looks like it has been horribly sprayed with rattle can black (doesn't match the dash). New window channels, unlike the quality window channels I usually install in cars at my work these are cheap foam strips made into the correct shape to fit in the channels. Weatherstripping, now from thailand, which I haven't used yet and they may be great, but come on, where's the good stuff???? And now th…

Ain't she pretty? One of my boys got a nascar model for X-Mas and no glue. So I go to the craft store to get some glue for him and just for the hell of it I look over at the model cars, to see what they have in stock. And I'll be damned if my red 1970 240Z is'nt staring me in the face. So I grab it off the shelf and look for a price tag, $10.00, Can you believe it???? I always here of the fairlady models ( w/ the mirrors on the fender and RHD) but I'd never seen a plain ol' 70' 240Z on ANY shelf, And I look, alot. So today I feel Lucky, and I also got a Muscle Machines (1/64)th scale matchbox 240Z from my mom of all people. Gee, DO YA THINK THEY kNOW ME OR WH…
