I just bought my first Series I 240. Build date of 10/70 but registered as a '71. A diamond in the rough for $500 but all there, straight and with rust only in the floorboards. I promise not to flare or cut this one up. :cross-eye

For those of you guys that get the "Fine Living" channel on Satalite TV, you may want to check out this weeks episode of Carography. This week is all about the Z car. I enjoyed it much better than the History Channel one. There was some good racing footage and some nice info abou the Z. Its airing again on 12/12. See attached link: http://www.fineliving.com/fine/making_the_mark/episode/0,1663,FINE_1412_28320,00.html

I have been watching the early winter storms you have been going thru. I ran across this picture the other day that I took in Minnesota a long time ago. All custom built with small block ford. .

I have a French 240Z. The chassis number stamped on the bulkhead is X HLS 30-132376 X The little plate on the suspension leg under the bonnet also reads X HLS 30-132376 X. The two Xs and 132376 are stamped ! I've never seen these Xs before - were they factory alignment marks for the stamping machine or what ? Was it a left hand drive thing ? My UK 240Z didn't have them It's not stressing me out but I am curious...
