I've got a question for you guys. Sorry it has nothing to do with our cars, but this has been a place where I've always gotten good advice. I have an invention that I'm gonna try and patent. I was wondering if anyone out there has gone through this and if you had any advice. Thanks

Today I was out-and-about the neigborhood, had lunch at my favorite fish taco joint, Senor Fish. After the delish lunch I stopped by my local Supermarket, not to buy anything, but to talk to the picketers of the striking grocery workers union. I support them as they are getting a raw deal. As I was ready to pull away, a couple of them started chanting "Burn Rubber". Well, I've never really purposely tried to spin them before, and thought "What the F**K". Wrapped it up, dropped the clutch and floored it. Woo Hoo! I laid a patch about a half a block long! Man did that make me smile!

i'm a newbie in tallahassee, fl. a guy on my street is selling a z that i've seen him drive a handful of times. the car sounds like it's running at 50% performance. it's got a little bit of rust but nothing spectacular, and he's asking $800. question is: i'm inexpeienced in car repair, so would buying this car be feasible for me? i of course don't know what's wrong with it yet, but i just wanted to see how difficult and/or expensive these cars can be. i had to ask becuase this is a baby blue beauty, and the best transportation i have right now is a huffy. i'll attach pics when i can get them onto my computer. thanks

Is the z not for me?? if i buy one thats in good working order should i expect to have to work on it too much for it to be my daily/ only driver. I know its a 30 year old car bu i figured you would be the guys to ask.

Drop your car on the garage floor??? I did it this weekend putting together the drivers side strut assembly and such. I went to get up as I was sitting indian style on the floor and stupidly grabbed the topside of the engine bay and gave a big pull to get myself up. I ended up pulling the car right off the jackstands onto the flor.

I love the fender mounted mirrors I see on old Fairladies. (see http://www5a.biglobe.ne.jp/~satotats/zhp/zgazou/catalog.htm) I found some mirrors that fit the bill in the JC Whitney catalog, but they say 'clamp on' style. What does this mean? Thanks. Here's my ride (looks a little different now) - it's a '70 with a '75 engine

Thought I'd see if someone can provide some info on the above. Have an Australian spec E88 head off an L24E Skyline, very similar in design to a P90 although chamber is much smaller, comes with 42mm in & 35 ex valves. Anyone know the CC's of these heads? I have posted a pic in my gallery, (still waiting approval) but if I don't need to get it measured and have spec's available it'd be great, at least I'd know roughly what kind of C/R I'd get on an L28. I've used the "calculator" from the Sydney Datsun Club to give me an estimate but they've got 44.7cc, same as an N42. They must be referring to the earlier E88 versions. Thanks.

Just back from New Hampshire Convention and it was awsome. The cars there were the best Z's I've seen in a while. I had a small carb problem the whole week and didnt get my share of pics. I was too busy trying to get the car to "sing" like the others that were there. I want to thank Ken for getting my pic in the Show gallery. The only pic that represents my showing is when Mr. K stopped by my car and blessed it.

Hello people, Sorry I have been away for awhile now. I have been so busy as of late. After selling off and closing the detail shop I found out how few jobs where around here. So I put myself back in school. Turns out I have had one of the best schools in marine wrenching only 15 miles from my home. At this time I am a full time student at Northeast Technology Center in N.E. Oklahoma. I am at the end of my first semester in Marine Technologies program and will graduate in the spring of 2004. This program is backed by Mercury and is part of the Mercury University program. With this our classroom has well over $1,000,000.00 in Mercury products both stern drive and out…
