I am installing Hood pins on my 280 (in the steel hood) and was wondering how most people install the discs that reinforce the panel? I was considering sheet metal screws or rivets and was looking for some opinions. (No I am not doing it as a looks thing, it is a race car and I came to hate my hood relase on my last car b/c it would never stay fully closed all race and I swore I would do hood pins on my next car.) Thanks Bryan

Don't you think it's oh so cute when your little son/daughter grins as they see your Z, asking for a ride in the "cool car"? Wouldn't you love to teach them all about the history of the car and how it all works, so that one day maybe they'll own one too? Welllllllll we all like to start them early, here's just one awesome way with soft toys! (Don't worry if you don't own a Z, there is a wide variety to choose from!) http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/55658657

I recently installed a 3.7 LSD(form a 300ZX) into my 240Z. It was supposedly rebuilt. after about 30 mph, I hear can hear it whine. I put in the input shafts from an 78 R200. They fit in and the C-clips locked them in place. I crawled underneath the car and checked the halfshalfts. I noticed a little play where the input shalf goes into the rear end. the play was back and forth, not in and out of the hole. could it be just the bearings???

I am up in the air on this one. 73 240 .. I am just wondering about value of this here is BC Canada as there are not many to be found .. and most are junk. I am looking at a 73 240 that was in really nice shape about 5 years ago but has been let go abit. Doesnt seem to be much rust but there is a bit. I am having it up on a lift soon. It is almost winter here so I wont get to drive it much (unless in winter). I would like to think this is a good investment at about $2500 to $3000 but am not too sure. I sold my restored 72 240 in 1986 for $5000 in Vancouver. Any help ? Thanks ..Bruce

Hi guys I want a new set of mirrors for my Z I'll post pics of the ones I have if you look in my gallery you can see them I'm a bit sick of them thinking of some new ones. George (That Ozzy guy) has ford XY ones there pretty trick on a 240z but i was also considering the bullet style ones found here http://www.zcarparts.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=OM03 it will be expensive to import to Australia but worth while. If anyone knows where to get them in Australia please let me know. BTW I like Chrome mirrors not color coated or plastic.

Hey guys, im looking at a late Series 1 Z car and need some more input before I make my decision. Pictures: www.bastuds.com/240z Higher quality pics can be posted if it will help. Here is what I know about the car/have found out. Floorboards are perfect, rust free. Spare tire well is perfect, rust free. Car is an automatic Passenger side has a little bit of rust bubbling in front of the rear tire - it seems solid to me but I am no expert on older cars. See pictures Battery tray is in good condition except there is a hole where the front passenger side corner of the tray is. The hole is in sheetmetal, but is not in a corner. The hole is visible if you look up past the …
