Hey Gang-----How have ya been? Good I trust. I've been real busy of late. Opened up a business with my best friend this summer and somehow we're still friends. I snapped my carbon fiber skimboard on my ankle; ouch! That's what I get for attempting front-side assaults at the Wedge. 4-6' surf (monster shore break) over two inches of water, a collection of idiots armed with foam resin boards better suited to accompany a key chain. Skimboarding (riding out to waves, not wet sand) is like running down a steep hill as fast as you can with an arm full of oil-soaked bannanas only to drop them directly in your path to step onto and control your destiny for 7-10 seconds. An episode…

Hi everyone this is my first post... I found 2 280z's at a local body shop... And I wanted to know how 280z's run price wise.. How much would relatively beat up one cost? Just so when I walk in there and ask, i have some knowledge. I am only 14, but i was hoping for a price range of about $500.. (Summer job and a little help from the dad. But by the time I am 16 I want a relatively nice car to drive... so two years will give me some time. thanks...

well the car is back at the shop today. i hope all goes well. im sitting on pins and needles. whats good is the woman got involved and totally cut loose on the owner. with her help, it seems things are getting done, at least hopefully. on another note as well i think that the reason for him wanting to help so much just as of late is that the BBB just sent me an email saying that they have logged the complaint and contacted the owner of the business. i didnt think that theyre action would be so swift but apparently it is. that could be why hes become a nice guy now all of a sudden. we will see. i wish i would have looked at some of the replies, because i would have done th…

I'm new to the site but I just wanted to put the word out about my project. I have a 1975 280Z that was custom built for Nissan by a custom shop out in Cali. The car has less that 18k miles but the paint is in sad shape. If you are not familiar w/ the car it is the original car that the molds for the Jim Cook "CaliforniaZ" body kit was taken from. the difference is that this car is all metal ans has no headlights or side mirrors. I plan on doing a complete restoration of the car and I know how involved this can be. it's not my first Z car either. Coincidentaly I found this jem on a used car lot in Monterey Ca and got it for a steal of a price considering what it is. I hav…

I'm a relative new member to the Club - I must say that I’m extremely impressed with the amount of knowledge people out there have about Z cars. But I’m most amazed with the website. This website is hands down the best totally interactive Z site I’ve come across on the Internet! The features, layout, content, ease of navigation, ability to interact, etc. are all first rate – KUDDOS TO THE SITE ADMINISTRATORS! You obviously have been able to capture the imagination of the Z Car community and have successfully packaged it in a site filled with a spectacular plethora of information. Thank you so much and please keep up the remarkable work!

Thought this was cool: Dear Abby, I recently read your column advising grandparents on "tough love" for misbehaving grandchildren, whose own parents let them run wild. I have followed your advice, and enclose a picture demonstrating my technique when my grandson just won't behave while I'm baby sitting for his parents. They have told me not to spank him, so I just take him for a ride, and he usually calms down afterward. Signed, Tough Love Grandpa

Just wondering if anyone has or where can I get one from? It'd be a good reference rather than looking through the shop manual and flicking through 80-100 pages worth of info. Stuff like bearings, pistons, rings, rocker, springs, valve guides, sizes etc etc, the whole lot. If anyone can help thanks, James

Greetings! I've put together a few photos of my 1972 240Z for you all to view and comment on: www.angelfire.com/pro/240z Check it out and tell me what you think. Also, I'm thinking about doing more mods on the engine, perhaps triple webber set-up? If you've done that yourself and have any advice (especially on how to save money!) let me know.
