What website do I go to order valve seats for my 78 280.....I also need to order a clutch. Thanx in advance. I am sooooo on the fence in regards to dropping a small block into this car........................................................If I do alot of the work myself what will the total cost be to rebuild the L28 engine? What mods do I need to the motor to achieve 200 hp. I am looking for a detailed list of what I need to do and what parts I need to purchase. I am ready to start this project asap......The faster I can get a list of parts and suppliers the better the chances of my Z staying a Z and not a hybrid :classic:

I have a 1970 240Z with the hatch vents on the deck lid. When ever it rains and I get caught it seems that water collects and then leaks back over the rubber seal into the rear deck area. Has anybody found that their rear hatch vents leaked water back into the hatch area like this? I've re-sealed the glass so it appears that its not coming for there. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot!

Well after having to buy a new radiator for my z it came today and it got installed and she is running again, now all that is left for the engine at this point it a oil change(1 year old oil as far as i can tell ewwwww), and have to get the 72 thottle arm as the 74 just dont cut it with the 72 carb linkage, also the float bowl vent nipples? the ones that go to the air cleaner what size and thread type are they i dont have them on my car..... good thing this car came to me for free....

Their customer service sucks. I tried to get 1 little thing from them (rear end cover gasket), they shipped to the wrong address(an old address I used to have, I had since changed). I had to track it, they expected me to get Fed Ex to re-route the package, then never even offered to refund my shipping charges. The shipping error excuse was "the shipping address was changed in the computer, but for some reason the shipping label printed the old shipping address" I could have thought up a better one than that. Anyone had problems like this with Motorsport Auto??? Or am I over reacting???

I was reading (drooling) my fall issue of Sport Z. Checking out the centerfold (again). That beautiful Orange 1973Z up in Minnesota. :love: Anyway I noticed that there were some tow/tie down hooks by the rear bumper guards. Are these homemade? Or are they available some where?

well here's the scoop: Today.. at my high school, I overheard some kid saying that he has a turbo kit and nitrous. SO I proceed to kinda walk along side and talk to him about his car as he walks up to his car. I said, you have a turbo? Sweet.. where did you mount the intercooler (since I didn't see one in the front) He says, Greddy I say, no.. where did you mount it? Hi guys, this is my first post, I'm new to this board. My father and I just today picked up a great 1972 240zx, it's white with a burgandy interior. It's in good original condition, body is real good. Needs a lot of work though. Right now, we want to do the work that gets it roadworthy again. First issue is that it makes a bad clunk when the clutch is pushed in. We think that could be the u-joints, but we're not sure, what do you guys think? Also, the shifter is really loose, is there a problem, or should I just look for a way to tighten it up?
